A Whirlwind Flip-Flop?

Veterans For Freedom asks a very salient question of False Messiah....

....which echoes the challenge to BO of the Dark Lord of the Sith:

AP looked into his crystal Oball and saw BO's likely wind-surfer-like reaction:

The more I think about it, the less I understand why he’d shy away from that meeting in the first place. Yes, it would force him to recognize the liberal heresy of progress in Iraq, but there are aspects of that which can be assimilated pretty cleanly into the left’s platform. It’s not like Petraeus is going to tell him everything’s sunshine and candy canes, either. They chat for an hour, Obama emerges and pays his obligatory lip service to the fine job our men and women are doing in this imperialist criminal endeavor, notes that he’s heartened by the prospect of further withdrawals, then laments that the Iraqi government still hasn’t made enough progress. Easy peasy. Figure a quickie two-day trip to Baghdad sometime in July.

A mere seven hours and forty minutes later came the fulfillment:

Senator Barack Obama said today that he is considering visiting American troops and commanders in Iraq this summer. He declined an invitation from Senator John McCain to take a joint trip to Iraq, saying: “I just don’t want to be involved in a political stunt.”

In a brief interview here, Mr. Obama said his campaign was considering taking a foreign trip after he secures the Democratic presidential nomination. No details have been set, he said, but added: “Iraq would obviously be at the top of the list of stops.”…

“I think that if I’m going to Iraq, then I’m there to talk to troops and talk to commanders, I’m not there to try to score political points or perform,” Mr. Obama said. “The work they’re doing there is too important.”

Going solo is not a political stunt, but going with Darth Queeg would be.  Whatever, Barry.  But you can't tell us you won't be peforming.  C'mon, how long did you rehearse that "the work they're doing there is too important" line until you could say it with a straight face?  Or without the suffix, "but not important enough to stay long enough to finish the job and not let it all have been in vain"?

The play of the day here is Allah's spasm of clairvoyance.  He'd better frame this one, because three months from now he's going to look awfully foolish as all those balloons rain down from the Pepsi Center rafters on the jowly, faux-grin-sporting face of The Scorned Woman.

Maybe she'll beat him to Iraq.  Heck, what's she got to lose?  It's not as if Petraeus can order her to drop and do five hundred for dissing him last September....
