That '70s Ad

I'll give kudos to the RNC for putting out an effective ad for a change, particularly in its applicability to either Barack Hussein Obama's or Hillary Rodham Clinton's statist energy policies....:

 

 

....but it may be the victim of the GOP's generation of electoral success.  Really, who much under the age of fifty even remembers the Carter presidency and its string of foreign and domestic policy disasters?  A majority of Americans don't even remember 9/11, for heaven's sake.  The day-to-to reality of 13% inflation, 18% interest rates, gas lines, national humiliation (by Islamic Iran!), and Mr. Peanut's all-around government-imposed "malaise" is as lost in the mists of pre-history on the public at large as last season's American Idol winner.

Besides, it's not as if we've got another Ronald Reagan waiting in the wings.
