A little substantive confrontation would be just what the Election Doctor ordered:

See what happens when you confront a Democrat with his own perfidy?  Imagine Republican candidates across the country taking this tack and generating a fusillade of "macaca moments".  Why, get enough right-wing cameramen punched out and it might even fire up the GOP base enough to turn ballot box disembowelment into a mere amputation or two.
