Good Question

My husband, who owns a carpet cleaning business, came back after a job the other day totally stumped. He had cleaned the carpet of the pastor of a large black Baptist church here in town. Nice guy, doing well, drives a Lexus SUV and lives in a beautiful home. And right smack in the middle of his yard is a big freakin' OBAMA sign. Now, Baptists are by and large conservative. Mark came home saying, "How can a man of God, if he's genuine, support Barack Obama?" How indeed? How can someone who is supposed to be a student of the Bible support a man who enthusiastically supports the killing of unborn children, even those who are partially born? Who sat under the tutelage of a racist moron leading his "church" for over twenty years? Who has the most liberal voting record in the Senate, supporting everything from gay marriage to partial birth abortion? Who lies through his teeth at every turn?

Is it just because he's (half) black? Is that a good enough reason for this minister of God to support him, despite everything else? As my husband said, I'd love to sit down and talk to this guy about it, just to try to understand his thinking. I don't get it.
