Isn't The Sign With The Whizzing Numbers Enough?

Here's a reminder of the difference between Republicans and Democrats.  Pay particular attention to the first two sentences of President Bush's reply (via HA):

Thank you, Mr. President, for having the faith in the American people to be able to read a gas station tote board and understand what the little squiggles mean.  That puts you and us light years ahead of the people who'll be running the country a year from now. 

You can bet that when Comrade Hussein is standing behind that podium six months from now, he'll match and surpass Mark Smith's Carteresque idiocy.  Though I doubt he'll don a Mr. Rogers-like sweater to bludgeon the paternalstic point home.
