Overkill?

Here's what Barack Hussein Obama told some of his SuperDuperDelegates, without whom he will lose the Democrat presidential nomination to Hillary Rodham Clinton, on Tuesday:

In his closed door meeting with House Democrats Tuesday night, presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama delivered a real zinger, according to a witness, suggesting that he was beginning to believe his own hype.

Obama was waxing lyrical about last week's trip to Europe, when he concluded, according to the meeting attendee, "this is the moment, as Nancy [Pelosi] noted, that the world is waiting for."

The 200,000 souls who thronged to his speech in Berlin came not just for him, he told the enthralled audience of congressional representatives. "I have become a symbol of the possibility of America returning to our best traditions," he said, according to the source.

Team Hussein knew exactly how that sounded, because on Wednesday morning they were already doing damage control, trying to spin His Eminence's latest hubristic turd as people looking for "hope" just happening to latch onto this black guy from Chicago as their tabula rasa.  Kind of a magic eight-ball of mass celebratory ignorance, as this moveon.org ad illustrates:

Hey, the girl is hot enough that you have no trouble believing she could have given the scuzzbucket sitting next to her any number of different sexually transmitted diseases - and that it's even money neither of them even know how to spell "hope," much less offer up a substantive reason to vote for Lucifer that wouldn't come out of some Wobbly tract.  I doubt they know what Wobbly refers to, either.

Conclusion: if BO's arrogance is getting so overpowering that even some of his Enemy Media cultists are starting to talk about it, Darth Queeg's ads are but the cherry upon an already existing ego sundae.

UPDATE: When the Left has no answer, they go for the paranoid smear:

Beginning with a sequence of flashes paired with isolated hands in Berlin, followed immediately by a sequence (above) from what looks like the last Democratic Convention (where Obama made his first major jolt, but where the scene itself bears next-to-no direct connection to Obama having his picture taken), and now all the “pop-pop-pop” and the violently-sensory “flash-flash-flash” seem indistinguishable from explosions.

With those fireworks serving as a (possible Denver) table setting, and just on-the-other-side of the seductive Britney/Paris segment, we arrive at this chronological sequence in which Obama is mingling with the Berlin crowd, a single nervous-looking Secret Service agent fixed off the candidate’s left shoulder…

How over the top is this one?  AP is referring to the other Obama smear of McCain accusing the latter of trying to depict the former as a "sexual threat to young white women" as "more saleable".

You know the old saying: "Methinks thou dost protest too much" - a redundant sign of the impending destruction The One's pride has already summoned.
