The Totalitarian Instinct
Barack Hussein Obama's is strong. Take his Orwellianism on Iraq:
Lucifer said the Surge would not only fail, but have "the reverse effect". Instead, it succeeded. Rather than concede the point, and thereby take an issue off the table that has already passed its shelf life date for the Dems and is now a liability to them, he obstinately maintained his mentally torporous defeatism while Donks all around him were forced to admit reality. Now that he is (allegedly) their nominee, he never said any of it. None of his cut & run scoffing ever happened. Complete fabrication. Despite all these clips and quotes and youtubes. Deny the evidence of your eyes, but look deeply into mine....you are getting sleepy....verrrrrry sleepy....
Very totalitarian.
How about his latest abandonment of the "post-partisan/New Politics" horse he rode in on (via HA)? First, the promise:
Then, the, er, fulfillment:
I'll buy that Darth Queeg, with his purblind resistance to ANWR drilling and nascent sell-outs to the environmental lobby on global warming, has indeed been "part of the problem". Not the "Big Oil"- and Bush-bashing, though, as while new drilling won't increase supply immediately, the second half of the BO spot proposes N-O-T-H-I-N-G to increase supply at all.
Point being, doesn't the first half of this ad sound an awful lot like "slash & burn" politics? The very tactics that St. Barry piously and self-righteously pledged to eschew? But remember - that never happened. Any aspect of Obama's past, any prior action or previous comment that is remotely awkward or inconvenient simply "officially" disappears, and anybody brings it up and attempts to confront Messiah with it, that person is a "liar". And after he's in the Black House, s/he'll be "mentally ill" and in need of government-run "psychiatric care".
Why do I go past mere lamentations of Obama's congenital dishonesty to attach more sinister connotations to it? After all, La Clinton Nostra would tell half a dozen lies just in the process of asking for directions to the nearest restroom. The difference, gentlebeings, is that the Clintons were/are good at it. Mr. Bill was/is the best who ever lived. Because of that idiot-savantism, because his talent for prevarication was unsurpassed, he could fool all of the people all of the time without need of, shall we say, coercive assistance. Yes, Sick Willie was a True Believer (and his pudgy wife even more so), but he valued self-interest even above The Cause of transmogrifying America into a gigantic Luxembourg.
Barack Hussein Obama, on the other hand, is one of the worst yet most recklessly prolific liars I have ever seen. Even his most shameless fanboys are having to acknowledge it. And yet nothing is more important to him than building the United Soviet Socialist States of America, which I take from how he's burning through his self-interest like Michael Moore through a stack of deal-a-meal cards by lurching all over the public relations landscape at every intimation that his ultimate victory might be somewhat less than totally assured. And every time he gets caught in other lie, he looks you straight in the eye and certitudinously declares that the cookie jar he's got his arm jammed into up to the elbow is not there, does not exist, and his arm and the hand at the end of it are at his side, ready to extend across the aisle to you in the selfless act of unity that is the cornerstone of his campaign. A unity that you are trying to destroy with your "distraction," for which you will be punished - um, "treated" - at a federal re-education - um, "anti-cynicism" - center once he's in a position to do to - um, "for" - you that which is for your "own good."
Hey, he's already hinting at forced labor. It fits the pattern. How big a stretch would it really be?
Ah, but let's not heap this all on Captain Hopeandchange. His party has plenty of lesser wannabe dictators and dictatrixes to go around:
Efforts in both chambers of Congress have Republicans wondering why Democrats seem to fear free speech. Representative Michael Capuano (D-MA) has proposed limitations on how Representatives can post information to the Internet in a time when we should be demanding more transparency, not less. According to a source in the Senate, Dianne Feinstein has begun her own campaign to force Senators to seek permission before communicating over the Internet.
The money part of the DiFi "hot spot"?:
-
Under their scheme, the Senate Rules Committee would become the Internet speech police for everyone in the Senate.
- It will be up to the committee to “sanction” which websites and forms of communication they deem appropriate.
- The Rules Committee thus gets to pick winners and losers among various websites in terms of which are appropriate for use. [emphasis added]
Anybody want to place any bets against the likelihood of Democratic Underground, Huffington Post, and Daily Kos being more likely to win the House and Senate Rules Committees' seals of approval than Townhall, RedState, and National Review Online? I didn't think so.
Would the Republican rump remnant balk and commit an en masse act of civil disobedience? Who knows? But consider what this reveals about the liberal mentality in 2008, liberated in their unbalanced minds from the need for any further discretion. So confident are they of a crushing electoral triumph in November that will entrench them in unchecked power for generations to come that, unlike 1992 when they took off their centrists masks AFTER the election, they're not even bothering to cloak their totalitarian instincts. Cutting off the conservative grassroots from whatever poor GOP bastards remain in D.C. after the party gets decimated at the polls this fall goes hand-in-glove with the Democrats' open, overt, and fanatical determination to reimpose the so-called "Fairness Doctrine" and muzzle those aforementioned grassroots from retaining any practical access to any media whatsoever.
The Democrats are the face of totalitarianism in twenty-first century America. Authoritarianism at the very least. Could this be why congressional approval ratings have plunged into single-digits? And doesn't this strongly suggest that Republicans had better do their damndest to link the two to each other and to Obamanation with all their might now, while they still can?

This I was willing to attribute to sheer boneheadedness. But this is goes beyond mere rank stupidity and harkens right back to Barack Hussein Obama's base instincts: Obama’s campaign has written the Department of Justice demanding a criminal inve... Read More
