History Check

My, what self-promoters these "war criminals" be....

....right, Congressman Murtha?  Hey, even the New York Tampon finally threw in the towel on "Surge" denial.  Would it really hurt Donk leaders - up to and including their presidential nominee - to just admit that they were wrong, thereby avoiding the more, shall we say, sinister conclusion?

Wouldn't it stir up the pot dramatically if Lucifer were to make that unnuanced, bald concession in his Invesco Field acceptance speech Thursday?  It's not as though he'd have to renounce his original opposition to Operation Iraqi Freedom.  It'd simply be a belated acknowledgement of reality, and put himself out of where at least some polls suggest the American people are.  It would also go a long way toward reinvesting his long-since gutted "unifier" persona by turning the page on the Iraq issue and turn the focus back to domestic issues, where Dems are supposedly strongest.

Of course, that'd get public scrutiny back on his ridiculous, bullheaded anti-drilling stance.  But with so many weaknesses to neutralize, he's got to start SOMEwhere.
