As regards the high-rollin' boil of speculation on John Sith McCain's choice of young apprentice ("young" because officially there IS nobody younger than he):

It's Pawlenty or Romney - yay!

Ridge is out - yay!

It's Lieberman - boo!

It's not a pro-aborter - yay!

It's Ridge - boo!

It's Meg Whitman - huh?

It's Lieberman - boo!

It's John Breux - well, not really, but Ensign Ed seems fond of the idea.

I just did a search on my posts of the past three months, and it turns out I have written occassionally about the Republican veepstakes after all.  You are cordially invited (and beseeched) to follow each and every link to each and every post to see my thoughts on the anti-climax of a subject.  Having just reviewed them, I don't see that I've changed my mind any.

I will reiterate, though, that if Darth Queeg wants to indulge his "maverickiness" (more than he wants to win) and still choose a pro-lifer, there's only one choice he can make.
