So Sinophilic, You'd Think He Was A Clinton
Another glimpse into the mind of Barack Hussein Obama:
Ensign Ed poses a rhetorical question, then goes ahead and answers it:
Does Barack Obama understand the nature of the Beijing regime? The reason that the government can afford all of this spending is that they control the means of production and the wealth of the nation. They can confiscate what they want at will and spend it where they like.
Does that not sound like every orthodox liberal's wet dream? Does that not sound awfully similar to the original "hopeandchange" theme of The One's campaign? And do you really think all those Marxist "good intentions" have evaporated as he has pretended to tack rightward (here and there)?
What, though, explains the part about ChiComm infrastructure being "vastly superior" to ours? Is he aware that Red Chinese ports are managed by foreign concerns? And that behind the slick facades he likes so much (made especially for gullible Western media consumption) is the incompetent, misery-dispensing jackboot of the communist police state?:
Thousands of Chinese farmers face ruin because their water has been cut off to guarantee supplies to the Olympics in Beijing, and officials are now trying to cover up a grotesque scandal of blunders, lies and repression.
In the capital, foreign dignitaries have admired millions of flowers in bloom and lush, well-watered greens around its famous sights. But just ninety minutes south by train, peasants are hacking at the dry earth as their crops wilt, their money runs out and the work of generations gives way to despair, debt and, in a few cases, suicide.
In between these two Chinas stands a cordon of roadblocks and hundreds of security agents deployed to make sure that the one never sees the other.
The water scandal is a parable of what can happen when a demanding global event is awarded to a poor agricultural nation run by a dictatorship; and the irony is that none of it has turned out to be necessary.
That's because the 30% increase in water demand that the ChiComms were expecting from an estimated half a million Olympics tourists never materialized. So, as with the bleep-ups of all totalitarian regimes - and the Barack Hussein Obama for president campaign - they just pretended that the great 2008 Baoding water heist, and the ruination of that province's farmers, never happened, a bit of make-believe that they backed up with more than enough force to make stick. An SOP with which some Western journalists have already become uncomfortably well acquainted. And that vaunted ChiComm infrastructure erected to "re-deploy" all that H2O? Half-finished and abandoned. Hell, all the pipelines probably would have sprung leaks.
Oh, but shed no tears for the 31,000 left homeless and broke by this government-orchestrated fiasco - they're "overjoyed to be making a sacrifice for the national good." How do we know this? The government-controlled media said so. And if ya can't trust what the government-controlled media says, gosh, what CAN you trust?
Yes, another rhetorical question. Only this one, the Golden Child has already answered for us.
