The "Very Exciting Ad [Tha]t's Going To Get A Lot Of Attention"
....is this?:
Well, I suppose it is a tad out of the ordinary, and probably in "comitous" character for the Dark Lord of the Sith. But "exciting"? Exciting would have been J-Ger's idea:
"Please tell me it features John McCain staring at the camera, holding a piece of paper, saying "Senator Obama, Stanley Kurtz found this document saying that when Bill Ayers hired you to run the Annenburg Challenge, you told him his bombing campaign in the 1960s was, quote, 'totally awesome... I wish I could have been there.' Senator Obama, why would you say such a thing?"
On the bright side, it could have been much, much worse.
UPDATE: Team Messiah calls the ad “a very nice gesture. We wish more of his ads took that tone, but it’s a very nice gesture.” Like those [bleep]-throwers will ever recupricate it. I can see their "similar ad next week congratulating McCain on his nomination" now:
"Senator McCain, last Friday was truly a good day for America, when I descended from heaven with a shout, the voice of my archangel, and my trumpet, and allowed the masses of Denver, and vicariously those of this potentially great country, to bask in my glory.
"You're right, too often the achievements of our opponents DO go unnoticed. So I wanted to stop and recognize your joined-at-the-hipness with the fascist redneck who has ruled this oppressed hovel for the past eight years. To fabricate a reputation as a "maverick" when George Bush is your siamese twin is truly an achievement of Clintonesque proportions. Congratulations on fooling everybody - up until now.
"How perfect that your nomination would come ten days after the anniversary of the death of George Lincoln Rockwell, who was another former Navy aviator with neoNazi leanings.
"Tomorrow, we will again be back at it, you racist honky geezer. But for now, get those creaking, arthritic knees ready, because after I'm elected, you'll be bowing down to me just like every other American."
It'll be in the thought balloon above his head, mark my words....

The brilliant Victor Davis Hanson sums it up nicely: This Democratic propensity to plead poverty and oppression to highlight one's own success — along with the therapeutic anecdote — finally becomes numbing. Obama, who gained his education and found op... Read More
