A Prostate Exam For Slow Joe

Rush Limbaugh wants to know why Sarah Palin is getting a media uterus exam while Joe Biden "skates"?  It's a rhetorical question, of course, but rest assured, the "wizard of Wilmington" ain't getting a "get out of jail free card" here, nor passing go without some serious partisan profiling.

Did you know that Senator Rogaine is a time traveler?  It's true - just listen to him:

Ensign Ed thought he was trying to hard to "soun' like a reg'l'r guy".  I was left wondering if his mic wasn't working, or of it was and he didn't realize it, or if he just thought that BELLOWING AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS made him sound like EveryMan.

Then Ed noticed the Biden temporal rift:

And what about this odd story about moving from Scranton? Biden left Scranton when he was 10 years old. Perhaps he is clairvoyant and foresaw “Bobby” Casey at the age of -2. I’d love to hear him make that argument. Maybe if that were the case, he could also explain why it’s okay to abort babies, when at the age of -2, Biden can see them destined for greatness.

Actually, Biden didn't use the term "greatness"; he used the term "famous".  Britney Speares is famous, but nobody would call her "great".  Hence the McCain campaign summer advertising angle.  On the other hand, the Palin family gestational period is supposed to extend almost that long, so maybe Slow Joe and the nutters have been comparing notes.

Is the old man getting tired already?  Or is he simply as congenitally and casually dishonest as the rest of his bottom-sucking party?

Did you know that Biden favors Israel's nuclear eradication?:

Army Radio reported that the Delaware senator was heard saying in closed conversations with Jerusalem officials three years ago that he was firmly opposed to an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Biden, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, reportedly claimed that Israel would likely have to come to terms with a nuclear Iran. He reportedly expressed doubt over the effectiveness of economic sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic and said he was against the opening of an additional military and diplomatic front, saying that the US had more pressing problems, such as North Korea and Iraq.

What does he mean by "come to terms with a nuclear Iran"?  Is there any other reasonable interpretation of that other than a formal surrender?  One that the mullahs would never accept in any case.  Think Jewish voters who traditionally vote Donk might be interested to know that?  Something to keep in mind when another Joe - Lieberman - speaks at the RNC this week.

This is Joe Biden's idea of "not discussing national politics":

[Yesterday] morning, Joe Biden said today was not a day for national politics. He said it again during a roundtable discussion outside his childhood home here this afternoon. But before long, he couldn’t help himself, criticizing McCain for his views on offshore drilling and questioning his foreign policy judgment.

“The only guy in America in a position of some authority who is out of sync with the whole rest of the world is John McCain,” he told a small group of relatives and old family friends. “This Administration, the Iraqis, NATO, the Europeans, our friends around the world, the vast majority of the American people, the Democratic-controlled Congress, Republicans in Congress — they all agree. Barack Obama was right, and John McCain was wrong.”

I wouldn't make mention of this if not for the fact that he didn't stress what McCain called "taking off our [partisan] hats and putting on our American hats" with Hurricane Gustav bearing down on Katrinaized New Orleans once, but twice, and still didn't stick to his own partisan ceasefire pledge.  Is the old man getting senile?  Or is he simply so congenitally and casually dishonest that he doesn't remember his lies from one sentence to the next?

Did you know that Joe Biden is a Vietnam-era draft dodger?

Okay, he got five student deferments on the grounds of his "asthma," a condition that never seemed to come up previously in the midst of his athletic exploits:

Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden received five student draft deferments during the Vietnam War, the same number of deferments received by Vice President Dick Cheney, and later was disqualified from service because of asthma as a teenager....

According to the documents, Biden, 65, received several deferments while he was an undergraduate at the University of Delaware and later as a law student at Syracuse University. A month after undergoing a physical exam in April 1968, Biden received a Selective Service classification of 1-Y, meaning he was available for service only in the event of national emergency. …

In Promises to Keep, a memoir that was published last year and became an instant best-seller after he was tapped as Obama’s running mate, Biden never mentions his asthma, recounting an active childhood, work as a lifeguard and football exploits in high school.

Interesting timing, no?  Right when the anti-war movement was revving up to a fever pitch, the multi-sport athlete suddenly discovers a respiratory ailment serious enough to excuse him from military service.  Meanwhile, John Sith McCain was entering his fourth year of North Vietnamese captivity, and turning down a chance for early release.  Quite a contrast, no?

Or is it that Biden had asthma all along but didn't think it merited mention in his autobiography where doing so might detract from the macho luster of his manly swaggering athletic reminiscences, and perhaps dampen book sales?  Heck, did anybody know Slow Joe had even had a memoir ghostwritten before now?  I certainly didn't.

Sure, deferments weren't illegal and lots of draft-age young people got 'em.  Including Vice President Dick Cheney, whose own deferments the Democrats have never looked upon so tolerantly.  But if that made Big Time a "coward" and a "pussy" and a "chickenhawk," doesn't Senator Hairplugs deserve the same denunciations?

Sorry, Rush.  It isn't much, but we adorable rodents don't have the longest reach.  Think of it as the pebble at the vanguard of the landslide.  Just please don't smush me when you rumble on past.
