Seed Of The Shady Oak
What does Barack Hoover Obama know about ACORN and its vote fraud racket? Investor's Business Daily believes the answer is "quite a bit":
For starters, Obama paid ACORN, which has endorsed him for president, $800,000 to register new voters, payments his campaign failed to accurately report. (They were disguised in his FEC disclosure as payments to a front group called Citizen Services Inc. for “advance work.”)
What’s more, Obama worked as executive director of ACORN’s voter-registration arm, Project Vote, in 1992. Joined by two other community organizers on Chicago’s South Side, Obama conducted the voter-registration drive that helped elect Carol Moseley-Braun to the Senate that year.
The next year, 1993, Obama joined the civil-rights law firm Davis Miner Barnhill & Galland, where he sued the state of Illinois on behalf of ACORN to implement the federal “Motor Voter” law, which the GOP governor at the time refused to do. Then-Gov. Jim Edgar argued, presciently, that the Clinton law would invite voter fraud.
Obama downplays his ties to ACORN, and his campaign denies coordinating with ACORN to register voters.
Mysteriously, the New York Post has noticed this galloping, democracy-undermining, nation-wide corruption as well:
Let every vote count, is the Democratic Party’s mantra these days. That slogan might better be: Let every vote count as often as we need to win.
Such, at any rate, are the tactics of ACORN, Barack Obama’s favorite “community organizers,” and its Project Vote - of which, the Democratic presidential candidate has boasted, “I started working as the director . . . here in Chicago.”
ACORN has been implicated in voter-fraud schemes in fifteen states - including Ohio, from where the Post’s Jeane MacIntosh reports today that a Board of Elections investigation has unearthed evidence of widespread voter fraud.
Michelle Malkin has the rampant details:
- Missouri - Officials now have to sift through hundreds of bogus applications submitted last August.
- Connecticut - A criminal investigation has been opened into ACORN fraud.
- Wisconsin - Registering convicted felons.
- Ohio - ACORN tells Cuyahoga County’s election board that they can’t stop themselves from committing fraud.
- Indiana - Over a thousand new applications from ACORN appear to investigators to be fraudulent, and that should be no surprise, since Indianapolis now has 105% of its population registered to vote.
Ensign Ed has still more:
In Nevada, officials seemed surprised by the news that the Dallas Cowboys had moved en masse to the Silver State. The entire starting lineup registered to vote in Nevada, including Tony Romo, their quarterback. However, Secretary of State Ross Miller assured Nevadans that anyone posing as Terrell “TO” Owens would get a big NO if they tried to cast a vote.
We generally look at vote fraud as a factor in photo finish elections; could it be that Barack Hoover Obama will become the first Democrat to not only steal the presidency, but cheat his way to a landslide?
Let us not leave out the dot-connecting to Team O's storm trooper tactics:
Barack Obama, speaking at a rally in Elko, Nevada, on September 17:
"I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face."
In a strangely prescient manner, Stanley Kurtz wrote in May, "Acorn’s tactics are famously 'in your face.'"
And now we read, in the New York Post, today:
Two Ohio voters, including Domino's pizza worker Christopher Barkley , claimed yesterday that they were hounded by the community-activist group ACORN to register to vote several times, even though they made it clear they'd already signed up.
Barkley estimated he'd registered to vote "ten to fifteen" times after canvassers for ACORN, whose political wing has endorsed Barack Obama, relentlessly pursued him and others.
Claims such as his have sparked election officials to probe ACORN.
"I kept getting approached by folks who asked me to register," Barkley said. "They'd ask me if I was registered. I'd say yes, and they'd ask me to do it [register] again.
"Some of them were getting paid to collect names. That was their sob story, and I bought it," he said.
Barkley is one of at least three people who have been subpoenaed by the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections as part of a wider inquiry into possible voter fraud by ACORN. The group seeks to register low-income voters, who skew overwhelmingly Democratic.
"You can tell them you're registered as many times as you want - they do not care," said Lateala Goins, 21, who was subpoenaed. "They will follow you to the buses, they will follow you home, it does not matter," she told the Post.
There's even an Obama/ACORN connection to the Democrat Financial Logic Bomb:
Do you remember how we told you that the Democrats and groups associated with them leaned on banks and even sued to get them to make bad loans under the Community Reinvestment Act which was a factor in causing the economic crisis (see HERE ) … well look at what some fellow bloggers have dug up while researching Obama’s legal career. Looks like a typical ACORN lawsuit to get banks to hand out bad loans.
In these lawsuits, ACORN makes a bogus claim of Redlining (denying poor people loans because of their ethnic heritage). They protest and get the local media to raise a big stink. This stink means that the bank faces thousands of people closing their accounts and get local politicians to lobby to stop the bank from doing some future business, expansions and mergers. If the bank goes to court, they will win, but the damage is already done because who is going to launch a big campaign to get the bank’s reputation back?
It is important to understand the nature of these lawsuits and what their purpose is. ACORN filed tons of these lawsuits and ALL of them allege racism.
The proper contraction of the term "community organizer" is "communizer". Barack Hoover Obama and ACORN have known of each other from the beginning, and are as inter-rooted as B.O. is with Jeremiah Wright, with Michael Pfleger, with Tony Rezko, and with William Ayers. But does anybody know this? And does any Republican care?
At least one VERY belatedly does:
House Republican leader John A. Boehner of Ohio escalated the war on ACORN today, calling for it to be cut off from all federal money and going so far as to call for a ban on ACORN contracting with candidates for federal office.
ACORN, a community organizing group allied with Democrats, has been blamed by the GOP for pushing housing policies that Republicans say contributed to the housing crisis. It has been the subject of investigations for voter registration fraud and its Nevada offices were recently raided. …
ACORN receives federal money through the affordable housing trust fund after that money has been sent to states and local governments. So Congress, to keep the group from getting money, would need to specifically forbid ACORN from being eligible to get federal funds.
“Contracting for services between candidates for federal office and ACORN, as Sen. Obama has done, must end,” says Boehner. “Now that the taxpayers own Fannie Mae, any funding from Fannie Mae’s nonprofit foundation to ACORN must stop.”
This is akin to sealing shut the barn door after the horse has become the glue you're using to seal it. But it still puts Boehner ahead of the man who should have been shouting these facts from the rooftops months ago, and is still agonizingly reluctant to do so:
The man in the crowd isn't a crank; he speaks for all of us "bitter clingers" who see what Barack Hoover Obama is, what he and his party have done, are doing, are about to do, and will do, to our country. We fear for our futures and our children's futures, and we want desperately for the Republican presidential nominee to stand up, deliver some REAL "straight talk" and do everything he possibly can to keep their country from falling into the hands of the Obama-Pelosi-Reid axis.
And what response does he get from the Dark Lord of the Sith? "“We’ve got to act together because all of us are Americans first.” I'm going to go way out on a limb and suggest that that man was no happier when he left than when he came in - and probably isn't going to vote for McCain.
I don't think it's that Maverick doesn't get it; I think he understands the sentiments of his base just fine. He simply wants nothing to do with those sentiments and can't bring himself to publicly pretend otherwise.
Let me make a prediction right here and now: After McCain goes down to his ignominous defeat, he's going to spend the ensuing months and years doing everything in his power to obsequiously worm his way back into the good graces of the Enemy Media establishment that has done its level-best to destroy him. He's going to be an even bigger anti-GOP quisling in the Senate than he was before. He'll be standing beamingly next to President Hussein when the latter signs comprehensive border erasure legislation into law. He'll take Obama's place as the most liberal member of the U.S. Senate. He'll suck Wile E. Coyote's toes until he, too, has sent a "tingle" up every one of the Hardballer's apendiges. He'll make those who actually supported his presidential candidacy wonder what in God's name kind of lunacy came over them to pick him instead of Mitt or Fred or Rudy. And he'll rub our noses in it for the rest of his life.
Don't think so? He's already getting booed at his own rallies for refusing to truly "take the gloves off" against The One. That doesn't mean he has to indulge the "Obama is an Islamist!' cries, but it does mean he needs to get out in front of this anger with what he DOES need to be saying about the Democrat Financial Logic Bomb and the depression that is on the way if Obamanomics sees the light of legislative day and channel it in a more constructive direction. Otherwise his decline from small national lead to modest national deficit really will collapse into a landslide of historic proportions, and the America we've known for 232 years really will pass away to the dustbin of history.
That's soil in which only an ACORN can grow.
