A Police State For Our Own Good

Remember Red Barry's up-and-down insistent about-face to the Grey Lobby on Medicare cuts?  Remember how I wrote:

Uh-huh.  "Nobody" is taking about cutting Medicare.  Only, of course, because somebody was actually paying attention when he WAS talking about cutting Medicare.  And nobody is more likely to be that "somebody" than elderly Medicare recipients.

Well, they're not buying it - and the Dems are breaking out the jackboot:

Not quite bouncing on the pavement, walker fragments zooming through the air like shrapnel, using their noses and dentures as brakes, admittedly.  Most likely because these gray grishnar cats are even further to the left than The One, if that's even possible.  Just imagine if they'd been the majority represented in this polling analysis:

According to recent Gallup analysis, the overwhelming majority of seniors have health insurance coverage, and roughly three-quarters of those 65 and older are covered by a government-sponsored plan, such as Medicare or Medicaid. Thus it might be expected that seniors would be more negative about the potential impact of reform on their personal situations, but perhaps more positive about its impact on others. This is not the case.

In addition to being less likely to believe healthcare reform will improve their own medical care and access, seniors are far less likely than younger adults to believe the country as a whole will benefit. Only a quarter of seniors, versus about half of those 18 to 49 and 50 to 64 years, believe a reform law would expand access to healthcare nationally…

Similarly, only about a third of seniors, compared with close to half of younger adults, believe reform would improve medical care in the U.S…

Also, seniors, as well as younger Americans, tend to believe healthcare reform would increase rather than decrease healthcare costs in the country as a whole.

You can't BS seniors when it comes to health care.  And Dems aren't going to bolster their PR stances by an escalating series of videos like this one.

Remember this well, Dems, as your 2010 Waterloo approaches: Geezers turn out to vote like no other demographic.  And unless your "god" really can resurrect himself, he's going to the the anchor around your collective neck.
