Health Care Nightmare

Nancy Pelosi is at it again.  Last week she dropped a 1,018-page bill pushing government-run health care.  We must act now to make sure that our worst nightmares don’t come true:

• That the bill would only cover one-third of America's uninsured population
  
  
• That 83.4 million Americans would lose their private coverage and be forced into the government health insurance plan
  
  
• And that yearly premiums for the typical American with private coverage could go up by as much as $460 per person.¹

As reckless an overreach as this new bill may be, politicians are really thinking about making it law. It’s important that you and I make sure American families understand the dangers of government-run health care.

The director of the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office went on record saying that the bill "significantly expands the federal responsibility for health care costs." In other words, the bill will increase the national debt, forcing a heavier burden on American taxpayers and only hurting the already-ailing American economy.

Conservative Democrats in the House announced Monday significant reservations about the bill and President Obama has had to admit it may not happen by his August timeline because the bill is quickly losing public support.
