The Reason The Economy Continues To Necrotize
Here's a hint: It's the one whose lips are moving:
Red Barry will run up more debt in just this fiscal year that ends two months and change from now than George W. Bush - no budget-cutter was he - did in his two TERMS combined (and had it not been for the War Against Islamic Fundamentalism he inherited from Bill Clinton, the disparity would be even more gaping) - and it's B.O. accusing the GOP of fiscal shame-rationing. This after claiming, "You haven’t seen me out there blaming the Republicans" right after doing precisely that in his immediately preceding paragraph. And, of course, this morning's partisan whining jag.
This is all of Barack Obama's PR problems and the disease consuming the economy's vitals all wrapped up in a neat little package. He came galloping into office on a white charger proclaiming socialism as the magic bullet solution for a crisis (that he wasn't about to allow to "go to waste") his own party precipitated. He insisted we had to borrow, print, and squander (to every Donk special interest that ever existed) as much as three trillion smackers RIGHT NOW or we were ALL gonna starve to death in some sort of mass, coast-to-coast Donner Party cannibalism frenzy (or what he wants to force us into via his cap & tax scheme). He stampeded his party's ulcer-inducing congressional supermajorities to blindly shoot the Baalian orgy through the legislative alimentary track like civic dysentery. And in the ensuing five months, it ain't done, um, shit.
And guess what, peeps? The American people were paying attention. Why? Because False Messiah sold sixty-eight million numbnuts on his ability to make water run uphill, then turn it into wine coolers to keep his perpetual motion machines running, and all that other rotgut like ocean-lowering and making lions lay down with lambs and whatnot. When you put yourself over as distendingly as he did, you better be able to deliver.
He hasn't. Hogzilla has been irrelevant at best, and more likely a downward accellerant (a nice match with his approval numbers). And then there he came again with BarryCare, making the same impossible pie-in-the-sky promises and in the same pants-wetting, hair-on-fire hurry to shove its THOUSANDS of pages through Congress sight unseen. Almost as if there might just be something in the "fine print" that somebody might not like, and even contradict his smoooooooth assurances about a wrenching, radical transformation that would change everything about health care but leave everybody's health care intact, at lower cost, with no new taxes.
Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. The public was not fooled a second time, and suddenly the metaphorical testicles of Barry's congressional myrmidons are no longer filled with quite as much partisan fortitude. Or, put another way, the American Republic is proving tougher prey for the Obamunist blitzkrieg than His Majesty anticipated.
This leads naturally to the big question the L'il President is going to have to answer if he's going to tow his presidency out of the ditch into which he's crashed it: How does he overcome what had been his greatest strength - his teleprompter (c)rap - now becoming his biggest weakness? I don't think it's that he's "overexposed," as CNN speculates (a risible irony from one of his principle enablers in said regard), but that he's been "exposed," period. He convinced millions he could give them the Moon AND make it green cheese, and all he's come up with is empty mousetraps that have snapped closed on their toes. And like most charlatans to whose snakeoil people get wise, his audience is drifting away.
That's what makes voice-locating Republican rebuttals like the following so quietly devastating:
Folks, you KNOW Barry has screwed the pooch when he has almost single-handedly rebuilt the Republican fiscal "brand" even as his former congressional counterparts have been torching their own.
Perhaps that's why he's "praying constantly." My only question is if he even hears his own prayers, and if so, why isn't he answering them?
