Black Panthers Get A Pass (Unlike The CIA)
This is sickening.
'We're going to follow the evidence wherever it takes us, follow the law wherever that takes us." So decreed Attorney General Eric Holder in April when asked whether government officials would face prosecution over coercive interrogation tactics used against terrorist detainees. After all, he elaborated, "no one is above the law."
Tell that to the voters in Philadelphia who were threatened by nightstick-wielding Obama supporters from the New Black Panther Party. The Panthers got a pass even after they contemptuously ignored court process and even after the government already had prevailed in the case because of their default. For the Obama/Holder Justice Department, other considerations outweighed following the evidence wherever it led. The Panthers who turned out to be above the law include Jerry Jackson, a credentialed Democratic-party poll-watcher who brays on MySpace about "Killing Crakkkas." Thanks to Holder's decision, Jackson is right back in business, having obtained new poll-watcher credentials just days after DOJ dismissed the case.
The people Obama has surrounded himself with are beneath contempt. That this corrupt water-carrier for Obama is the Attorney General of the United States is mind-boggling. There was CLEAR voter intimidation in this case, but since it was in favor of Barack Obama, Thug-in-Chief, it's A-Okay. Think this would have been dismissed if they were intimidating black voters? Where are the cries of foul play from the BDSers who accused Republicans (falsely) of intimidating voters in Florida in 2000? Never mind, that of course was a rhetorical question. Truth is totally unimportant to the Left, and getting more so every day. Obama appears to be less able to tell the truth than even Clinton was, and THAT is scary. 2010, come quickly!
JASmius adds: Meanwhile....
U.S. Attorney-General Eric H. Holder Jr. is poised to appoint a criminal prosecutor to investigate alleged CIA abuses committed during the interrogation of terrorism suspects, current and former U.S. government officials said.
A senior Justice Department official said that Holder envisioned an inquiry that would be narrow in scope, focusing on “whether people went beyond the techniques that were authorized” in Bush Administration memos that liberally interpreted anti-torture laws.
Current and former CIA and Justice Department officials who have firsthand knowledge of the interrogation files contend that criminal convictions will be difficult to obtain because the quality of evidence is poor and the legal underpinnings have never been tested.
Courageous men and women that did what they had to do to save thousands, perhaps millions, of American civilian lives from fiery slaughter? War criminals who deserve to burn, burn burn! Anti-American, commie-pinko Black Panther domestic terrorists of an organization that, at least at one time, hatched plans to murder upwards of 25 million Americans, and who act as part of the purpleshirt muscle for Red Barry's occupying forces? Patriotic Americans doing their civic duty!
NOW you can vomit.
