Health Wars (8/7/09)
There's a word that characterizes today's contributions to this people's rebellion and the Obamunist response to it, and that word is escalation.
Just ask John Dingell, who, if you'll recall, was fired as House Energy Committee Chairman and replaced by Henry "Nostrilator" Waxman for being a crypto-right-winger:
Yeah, the assembled populace does come across as noticeably more heated. But I think that can easily be attributed to Dingell's playing the established Donk spin card of dismissing the "kill the bill" chants as the work of "Republican attack machine agents," even though there's not a power suit, tassle, or laminated swastika placard in sight. C'mon, folks, when you recognize that your government is trying to screw you like a three-dollar whore under cover of a fusillade of lies, and then condescendingly sneers at and smears you when you object and protest, wouldn't you tend to get a little hot under the collar? But even with the spirited questions directed pointedly at Dingell, I heard no profanity or personal abuse, let alone violence. Rather, I saw justifiably frustrated citizens justifiably demanding that the representative THEY elected to represent them at least pay them the respect of listening to what they have to say without gratuitously insulting them like they were pond scum or something.
But, again, to be fair, not every Dem is getting the deer-in-the-headlights stuperous expression. You have to grant Loretta Brixie a few points for creativity - or maybe just sheer cheekiness - with this "prayer vigil" gimmick:
'Course, if Brixie's (her married name, unless she's gotten divorced since she screwed "B-1 Bob" Dornan out of his House seat thirteen years ago) constituents were the "fake Nazi thugs" her party insists they are, I'd have thought they'd have either stormed the stage or at least shouted her down with a "BULLLLLLSHIIIIIIIT! BULLLLLLLLSHIIIIIIIT!" chant. For rabblerousers, they're awfully polite and well-behaved.
Arkansas's Vic Snyder took a similar tack:
Just called Arkansas Children’s Hospital 501-364-1100 to confirm and get details. Vic Snyder will have a townhall meeting at 1pm at the Chairman’s Hall in the Sturgis Building Wednesday 080509. I asked them about the radio announcement stating the meeting was at 2pm. Bonnie from Arkansas Children’s Hospital stated that it was a 2pm and that it has been changed to 1pm. I also confirmed that the event would be open to the public. It has been recommended that people not go to protest in anger due to the fact that there will be ill children and their families at the hospital. Snyder decided to hide in a hosptial when he realized that he would face angry constituents.
Or, in other words, health care freedom advocates had to "sit down and shut up" - for the children! "Human shields," indeed. Though again, if the heavily opposed audience were the demons of extremism and insurance carriers of demented Donk depiction, why didn't they just grab all the children present and eat them?
Still others didn't bother with clever dodges, deciding to just admit that they're the utter, complete, and total, emasculated pussies we've said they are all along:
Over 10 years in Congress, U.S. Rep. Brian Baird has stayed tethered to his district, flying back to Southwest Washington for more than 300 sometimes-bruising town hall meetings during Congressional recesses.
But this year, he’s literally decided to phone it in.
Instead of appearing in person, where “extremists” would have “the chance to shout and make YouTube videos,” Baird said Wednesday, he’s holding what he calls “telephone town halls” instead.
Baird said he’s using the new system because he fears his political opponents may be planning “an ambush” to disrupt his meetings, using methods Baird compared to Nazism.
“What we’re seeing right now is close to Brown Shirt tactics,” Baird, D-Vancouver, said in a phone interview. “I mean that very seriously.”
No, Briney Boy, we're not. But your undistinguished colleague from Georgia did an at least passable Hitlerian ranting impression.
Okay, we'll settle for an Uncle Jeremiah sermon:
Did Scott just emotionally fall down the stairs and poop himself or was his tactic to try and provoke his constituents into the very sort of conduct with which his party is slanderously trying to associate them?
Now then, Congressman Baird, I hope you're sitting down and shutting up and paying close attention, because THIS is what "brownshirt tactics" - or, rather, "purpleshirts" in this incarnation of the same ideological disease - actually look like:
Tellingly, when the cops showed up, the arrestees didn't include ordinary citizens OR phony, well-dressed, swastika-emblazoned pretenders but did include quite a few purpleshirts and even an Obamedian. All of which means that False Messiah's nationalization of local police forces should probably have been higher on his domestic communization agenda.
It always comes back to him, naturally, the American Caligula, in whose unholy name this rising tide of freelance government crackdowning on political dissent is unfolding. I think it's safe to say that any previous White House - most especially the poll-obsessed Bill Clinton - would have been pissing its collective self with dread over the public relations disaster of such heedlessly open and close association with open violence being waged by its union allies against ordinary American citizens. Think of it - a black man seriously injured by an Obamunist thug on the six o'clock news! Could there be a worse nightmare for a White House media shop?
But Red Barry doesn't seem to care - which would help explain why the best that "Baghdad Bob" Gibbs could do was just blandly tell another whopper. To the contrary, The One is not pouring gasoline on the flames, but jellied napalm:
Breathtaking, isn't it? Leave aside the fact that it was the Democrats who seeded, nurtured, and protected the subprime real estate bubble by making home ownership an entitlement through the Community Reinvestment Act under Clinton and the Donk-infested Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, with Chris "Countrywide" Dodd and Barney Frank running "hear no evil/see no evil/speak no evil" interference throughout the Bush years, just in time for the bubble-bursting which sank the economy just in time for those same Democrats to reap an electoral bonanza - which would require Comrade Hussein and his entire misbegotton party to shut his and its collective yap permanently. It is they who have run up more debt in Barry's first year in office than Bush did in all eight of his; it is they who glommed ownership of the recession with Hogzilla, oversold it to the moon as an "immediate" stimulus it was never designed to be, and set themselves up for failure and discrediting when it worked as it was actually written; and it is they who stupidly used the same template with BarryCare, only to discover to their teeth-gnashing rage that the American public caught onto their swindle and are refusing to be shafted a second time.
The Li'l President is persisting with the same blame-the-Republicans fraud, but the way his words are being heard by the American people is that he's blaming US for the economy, US for everything he imagines to be wrong with the country, and is commanding US to "stop talking" and "get out of his way".
Only thing missing was the suffix, "Or else you'll get worse than that Uncle Tom nigger Ken Gladney did":
Take the following as an indication of the likelihood of somebody, ANYbody in the White House putting a brake on Barack Obama's descent into political madness. Orwellian doesn't begin to describe it:
Lies about political violence meted out as punishment for refusing to swallow other lies like docile little "teabagger" drones. It's astonishing that it took until the end of this week for somebody to question the Obamunists' state of mind:
What better exit quotation is there with which to follow up that warning than this hideously ironic golden oldie from You Know Who:
That was America; this is Obamerika. Now bow down and shut up, or we'll break your face. And that'll be a fifteen month wait.
