Unseemly
That's the best word I can think of to describe President Barack Obama's calling out of his thugs to attack peaceful protestors of his planned government takeover of health care. Obama is fanning the flames, and he and his minions are blasting American citizens for standing up and speaking out. This is un-American on so many levels, and un-American is exactly what Obama is. I honestly think he hates this country and wants to bring it down. Gotta admit, he's doing a hell of a job so far.

subject This is the moment
mailed-by bounce.bluestatedigital.comThis is the moment our movement was built for.
For one month, the fight for health insurance reform leaves the backrooms of Washington, D.C., and returns to communities across America. Throughout August, members of Congress are back home, where the hands they shake and the voices they hear will not belong to lobbyists, but to people like you.
Home is where we’re strongest. We didn’t win last year’s election together at a committee hearing in D.C. We won it on the doorsteps and the phone lines, at the softball games and the town meetings, and in every part of this great country where people gather to talk about what matters most. And if you’re willing to step up once again, that’s exactly where we’re going to win this historic campaign for the guaranteed, affordable health insurance that every American deserves.
There are those who profit from the status quo, or see this debate as a political game, and they will stop at nothing to block reform. They are filling the airwaves and the internet with outrageous falsehoods to scare people into opposing change. And some people, not surprisingly, are getting pretty nervous. So we’ve got to get out there, fight lies with truth, and set the record straight.
That’s why Organizing for America is putting together thousands of events this month where you can reach out to neighbors, show your support, and make certain your members of Congress know that you’re counting on them to act.
But these canvasses, town halls, and gatherings only make a difference if you turn up to knock on doors, share your views, and show your support. So here’s what I need from you:
Can you commit to join at least one event in your community this month?
In politics, there’s a rule that says when you ask people to get involved, always tell them it’ll be easy. Well, let’s be honest here: Passing comprehensive health insurance reform will not be easy. Every President since Harry Truman has talked about it, and the most powerful and experienced lobbyists in Washington stand in the way.
But every day we don’t act, Americans watch their premiums rise three times faster than wages, small businesses and families are pushed towards bankruptcy, and 14,000 people lose their coverage entirely. The cost of inaction is simply too much for the people of this nation to bear.
So yes, fixing this crisis will not be easy. Our opponents will attack us every day for daring to try. It will require time, and hard work, and there will be days when we don’t know if we have anything more to give. But there comes a moment when we all have to choose between doing what’s easy, and doing what’s right.
This is one of those times. And moments like this are what this movement was built for. So, are you ready?
Please commit now to taking at least one action in your community this month to build support for health insurance reform:

Let’s seize this moment and win this historic victory for our economy, our health and our families.
Thank you,
President Barack Obama
But, of course, it's center-right opponents of BarryCare showing up at Donk town hall meetings who are "inauthethic," "plants" and "operatives" of the "Republican attack machine". No "astroturf" in Obamaland, no siree!
2) False Messiah isn't sending his minions into battle without a playbook, natch:
Bring more people than the other side has…You must bring enough people to drown them out and to cover all our bases so as to marginalize their disruptive tactics.
Arrive earlier than the other side does. We need to stack our folks in the front…and we need to stake out the best spots for visibility and signs. Reconnaissance on the venue and understanding of the staging will be important here.
Be more visible than the other side…Make sure you have people holding signs in every place where a TV camera is likely to be…
Have a real plan for the media...Assign 3-5 people to speak with the reporters who attend and make sure the reporters understand the scope and message of the event. If you let the reporters focus on what they see, they will invariable focus on the mayhem…Don’t wait for the reporter to approach you. You must approach the reporters and be assertive in shaping the narrative that they write.
~ ~ ~
Do not debate on their “policy” points. Remember they are seeking a platform to distort the truth about reform by making health care about abortion, rationing, euthanasia, etc.
Interrupt them when they get disruptive and refocus the meeting. Line up a number of people who feel comfortable interrupting and prepare them with statements like:
[...]
Don’t get into a shouting match with them. Instead, prep people on our side to keep raising the questions that we want answered. Repetition is the key. We need to arm our side with questions that play to the strengths of our message and make sure we keep bringing them up over and over so that the press recognizes those central themes.
~ ~ ~
One advantage of organizing your own townhall or public event with Members of Congress is that you will have much more control over the event and limit the other side’s opportunities for disruption…
Choose a venue that is difficult for the opposition to access without being noticed…make sure you set up the venue in a way that ensures that the attendees you want are at the front and that any protesters who come are sequestered as far as possible from the stage.
Lay out goals for the meeting and establish ground rules for conduct in the meeting at the beginning of the event…One way to do this is to ask people to submit questions ahead of time on cards, to permit only one question at a time, and to limit the topic of questions.
Collect signs or leaflets that are not provided by you or your organization…You can distribute your own signs in the event and offer them one as they enter if you choose to allow them to enter.
~ ~ ~
Assign people to greet the media and to stay close to reporters both as they enter and leave the event. It is important that you take away right-wingers opportunities to talk to reporters by making sure that your staff or leaders are in constant contact with the media who attend.
Pure, undiluted Alinksy radicalism. Treat every townhall event like...well, like a military engagement. Conduct reconaissance, plan your avenues of manuever and attack, seize the desired "territory," manipulate, demagogue, dirty-trick, shout-down, all in the end goal of excluding and silencing the "right-wingers" - not actual ordinary citizens, remember, who are, of course, 100% behind the benevolent, loving health care grace offered by Dear Leader, no matter what all those Nazi pollsters have been saying for weeks, but those "over-dressed Brooks Brothers political terrorists". It's just pure coincidence that these "mobs" of phony "right wing fascists" who keep showing up at these Donk townhall meetings to "attack" Godbama's "good and faithful servants" with substantive questions he never bothered to include in his BarryCare sales pitch keep forgetting their swastika signs and Nazi Armani suits and wingtips and appearing instead in baseball caps, t-shirts, and Bermuda shorts.
Never mind. Panicked demogoguery has a "logic" all its own.
3) Next, The One's public relations artillery opens fire:
Once again, aside from this video footage not actually being of any of last week's and this week's townhall meetings - because, you know, that wouldn't give them the imagery the DNC needs for their smear - and there not being a "back" to harken "back" to, unless they mean the last time a Democrat administration tried to hijack health care and were stopped by a peaceful public rebellion, and the mind-frying spectacle of the Left invoking the spectre of [GASP] rabble-rousing street agitation against a president and his policies (which they have NEVER sanctioned since January 20th, 2009), this ad is entirely reasonable and accurate.
4) His lieutenants manage and contribute to the all-out desperate assault on "fronts" across the country (examples too numerous to re-cite here - see my "Health War" posts throughout the week).
5) THEN his purpleshirts go to work cracking ordinary American heads (see note on step #4), perchance to bludgeon into them, and the rest of us, the cowering acceptance that the "old" America, with all that subversive, bourgeoise, Nazi "freedom" and "liberty" and "democracy" nonsense, is over.
Thus is openly confirmed Ace's conclusion....:
The [Obamedia, along with the White House and the Donk Poliburo] is attempting to rule that 50+% of the American public is per se illegitimate and entirely excludable from the public debate.
50% + of the public disagrees with them, and there is no getting around that, so they've simply decided to make overt and a binding "rule" what they've long believed silently - 50% of the public will simply need to be disenfranchised if we're ever to "get things done" and impose our "progressive" agenda.
....and exacerbated Allahpundit's:
Why can’t the Democrats just pass what they want to pass with their supermajority and stop whining incessantly about Birthers and mobs or whatever? The answer, I think, is that the whole “mob” meme is effective only insofar as it creates the impression that the GOP is the stumbling block to ObamaCare, which of course is an outright lie. It’s the Blue Dogs who are holding things up for fear of a backlash in their purplish districts if they vote for socialized medicine. Which brings us back to the astroturf smear: If the left’s so sure this is all a psy op by Republicans and that Joe Public’s gung ho to run health care into a collectivist ditch, then the Blue Dogs should call the GOP’s bluff and pass whatever Obama wants. Then, when they’re all reelected next year, the great conservative fraud will be proved and The One will have a great victory, no?.
Um, no. And really, given the public majorities hardening against BarryCare, I'd argue that trying to flailingly smear the GOP for simply getting in front of where We, The People, are already going, even if they could stop it in Congress, renders the "mob" meme the biggest self-inflicted Dem wound yet. Which leads to AP's punchline:
[E]ven with a Democrat president, a filibuster-proof Congress, and the lure of “free” ice cream in the form of socialized medicine, the left’s somehow managed to turn ObamaCare into a clusterfark of such epic proportions that their health-care message has now actually been reduced to “Don’t listen to the Republicans — they’re crazy.”
Peggy Noonan - never the steadist or sturdies of center-right pundit voices - dispenses some advice that Red Barry would be wise to heed:
The Democrats should not be attacking, they should be attempting to persuade, to argue for their case. After all, they have the big mic. Which is what the presidency is, the big mic.
And frankly they ought to think about backing off. The president should call in his troops and his Congress and announce a rethinking. There are too many different bills, they’re all a thousand pages long, no one has time to read them, no one knows what’s going to be in the final one, the public is agitated, the nation’s in crisis, the timing is wrong, we’ll turn to it again—but not now. We’ll take a little longer, ponder every aspect, and make clear every complication.
You know what would happen if he did this? His numbers would go up. Even Congress’s would. Because they’d look responsive, deliberative and even wise. Discretion is the better part of valor.
Put more bluntly: Act like you've been there before. And act like you expect to be there for a long time to come, instead of trying to cram a decade's worth of wrenching "change" into six freaking months, as if you don't expect to be wielding the gavels for more than the next fifteen months. Hey, if the voters really did turn left last November, what's the hurry, right? Since when did incrementalism become a dirty word?
Since the Democrat Party completed its degeneration from liberal to socialist to the "C" word by selling its collective soul to this man:
Power is what demagogues resort to when they've lost the argument and their lies no longer fool the people. For Barack Obama it's only taken six months, and now the blood in the streets has already started to flow. Kinda makes one wonder what the next three and a half years holds in store - and dread the answer at the same time.
Here's an exit question of my own: Red Barry's union Sturmabteilung are there to rumble with BarryCare opponents - primarily. But might there be a quasi-subtle message in there for Blue Dog Dems as well if they don't vote the "right" way when their August recess is over? Don't forget, with the size of Crazy Nancy's House majority, three-quarters of the azure mutts (more, if she can collect the usual smattering of RINO turncoats) can still vote "nein" and not sink the bill. Which cerulian bow-wows wanna play Russian roulette?
