Ups & Downs
First the ups. I'm heartened by the outcry being heard from thousands of regular Americans regarding this health care debacle. Even though the Thug-in-Chief and his union minions are doing their level best to intimidate us, it's not working. Witness the Tea Party Express. The more they push, the more we'll push back. I plan to attend the rally in Bloomington on September 6. I'm sure I'll see a huge crowd of fellow Hoosiers anxious to make their voices heard. Too bad there won't be any footage shown on the evening news. Let four people show up at an abortion rally, though, and they're all over it. But I digress.
Now for the downer. It's so sad that we have people such as this in the halls of Congress.
I'm sorry, but this woman is just stupid, along the lines of Patty Murray and Sheila Jackson Lee. How on Earth do people like this get elected?
My husband was cleaning a large Methodist church here in town (he owns a carpet cleaning business). He was telling me about a girl who came through the side door, on her way to get free food vouchers. She had on an Obama Hope & Change T-shirt, was carrying a latte, and had a cell phone dangling from her hip. Is it just me, or is there something wrong with that picture? This woman is mooching free food while paying a monthly cell phone bill, drinking $4.00 coffee, and wearing a $15.00 T-shirt. The entitlement mentality in this nation is just nuts, but of course it's exactly what the Democrats want.

I can't even afford a cell phone plan, and I earn a decent living! But to be perfectly fair to this young lady, perhaps she was given the T-shirt, someone else paid for her latte, and she's on someone else's cell phone plan (like I am.) Unlikely? Ubetcha! but not completely impossible. LOL
Meanwhile, I'm with you on the whole "entitlement" issue. I'm so excited that I found your blog (through OH, btw) so I can share it w/my sister, who is very involved in politics.
Keep up the good work! :)
