Czar Wars
When they're not sneering and snarling at members of an increasingly rebellious American public in the waning days of August townhallery, you get the distinct impression that Democrats like Representative Tom Perriello are genuinely incapable of understanding how there can be such a thing as opposition to their corrupt, incompetent, arrogant, tyrannical rule - which explains why they consider all such opposition to be by definition illegitimate:
Perriello and other Democrats had better start learning something from these reactions, because mistrust is beginning to rapidly increase for this administration. The explosion of czars in Obama’s White House has people worried about “shadow governments,” technically an incorrect term but descriptive of the problem (“shadow government” describes opposition-party positions in a parliamentary system or one that wields total power through the use of puppet elected officials). A handful look like an affront to Congress, but dozens begin to look dictatorial.
This is one of those question-begging comments that almost become rhetorical self-queries. Certainly, Dems should learn something from these reactions. But why does it take a constituent ass-chewing to wake somebody like Tom Perriello to the brain-sucking hypocrisy of fearmongering about the Patriot Act being an imaginary Bush fascist coup mechanism versus seeing nothing whatsoever wrong with Barack Obama setting up his own czarist junta behind a boobilicious Cabinet facade of hacks and morons? You'd think that if nothing else, Perriello's presumed intention to be in his House seat long after Barack Obama has left the White House would motivate him to defend the separation of powers, even to avoid a future Republican president using the same bypasses of legislative oversight for his own purposes (which then would, overnight, resume being dire threats to American liberty).
Unless, of course, he DOES expect Barack Obama to be in the White House for longer than four or eight years. It's a possibility that can't be discounted.
What can be concluded is that Democrats won't learn anything from voter criticism because of their ingrained moral supremacism. It is an article of rote faith with them that (1) they are smarter than everybody else; (2) they are BETTER than everybody else; and therefore (3), they alone are entitled to rule the country - forever. Period. Consequently they are incapable of seeing danger in a president of their own party taking them and the country down the Hugo Chavez path to Marxist dictatorship, and ONLY capable of seeing evil in all the horrible, hideous things they imagine their opponents - which now include a majority of the American people - to be secretly plotting, even though they never actually do any of them.
That is why the House Donk majority will be cashiered next November, and their Senate counterparts will be close on their heels. And even then, as we saw during their last stint in the political wilderness, they still won't learn anything.
Hopefully, Republicans have. Depopulating False Messiah's czar cluster will be a good place to start.
