Obamunist hacks calling Fox News "not really news" because it "has a slant" is like....what?  A youtube from Bizarro World?  A spatial distortion so vertigo-inducing it would make me vomit for a week straight?  Orwellianism of such magnitude it would make George, um, Orwell exclaim, "Whoa, wait a minute, dude...."?  Projection that could feed a drive-in double-feature in the next galaxy?

How about drawing stiff rebukes from....the Baltimore Sun?  The New York Times?  The Nation?  Helen freaking Thomas?  Are The One and his spear-carriers really the only people on the planet who don't grasp that the only asses they're kicking are their own?

Maybe the idea is that if the ObamaHouse demonizes Fox long enough, the public will turn against the cable news channel, even if just to turn off the insatiably tiresome carping, and give The Li'l president the cover he needs to muzzle them once and for all.  You know, the PR strategy that was such a success for them over the summer on....health care "reform".  Problem is, public distrust of what is now popularly known as the Obamedia long predated The Second First Coming; that was the raison d'etere of Fox News from day one.  FNC filled the same niche in cable TV that Rush Limbaugh did on the AM dial.  They're wildly successful because they really are "fair and balanced," and offer the genuinely objective news coverage, as well as opinion journalism, that a broad cross-section of the public wants and does not get from Red Barry's pool boys and palm frond-wavers.  And the more Obamunist hatcheteers try to whale on Fox, the more viewers the latter gains, and the more Americans - especially the independents that have been fleeing B.O. like a burning building - get alienated and educated as to the true nature of an administration that made such a point of ending "partisanship" and "petty bickering".

Beats me why AP is so sure the Barry BrainTrust is going to figure out that they're burying themselves with a backhoe.  If they didn't get the drift of where this self-abuse was taking them after their resident Maoist took her rake to the face last weekend, why would they ephiphanize now?  Besides, authoritarian regimes always need enemies to scapegoat:

Successful presidencies don't need to designate enemies, because their enemies have already been neutralized.  The Obama presidency is already underwater, and on a strawman hunt that has three more years to run.  Ditto his congressional counterparts, except they only have a year to politically live.  Given who and what these animals are, I don't see much in the way of "Plans B" in the offing.

Sure will make Fox election night coverage a ratings-Godzilla, though.
