Health Wars (10/31/09)

Another tiresome redundancy of House BarryCare:

Remember Obama’s effort to try a “test” for tort reform? (We don’t actually need a test, since it has worked to lower medical malpractice coverage and help increase access to doctors in states that have tried it.) Well, Pelosi’s bill has an anti-tort-reform measure. On pages 1431-1433 of the 1990 spellbinder, there is a financial incentive for states to try “alternative medical liability laws.” But look — you don’t get the incentive if you have a law that would “limit attorneys’ fees or impose caps on damages.”

Natch, because "bending the cost curve" and reducing "defensive medicine" and "increasing access to doctors" isn't what BarryCare is about - entrenching the Democrat Party in permanent, unchecked power forever is.  Whether from insane arrogance or flagrant desperation, they're just not bothering to hide it any longer.

That doesn't necessarily make House Minority Leader John Boehner's Red Barry rebuttal a "game-changer"....

....but after BarryCare finally dies, it'll be the only other health care game in town.

I just hope he waits a decent interval for the corpse to cool off, stiffen, interred, and buried.  Otherwise we could be looking at another Night Of The Living Dead....
