Compassion For Mass Murderers All In A White House Day's Work

You know how we were supposed to burn Obama Petroleum at the stake for lobbying for the release of "a" terrorist, who turned out to be Lockerbie Bomber Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi, in exchange for better drilling rights from Muammar Khaddafy?  My goodness, it's all Donk Senators Chucky Schumer, Kirsten Gillibrand, Frank Lautenberg, and Robert Menendez have been grandstanding about for the past week.  They want hearings!  They want mass arrests at OP!  They want Tony Hayward's severed head reattached to his body so they can guillotine him again!

Now, suddenly, all you hear from Empire State way is crickets.

THE US government secretly advised Scottish ministers it would be "far preferable" to free the Lockerbie bomber than jail him in Libya.

Correspondence obtained by the Sunday Times reveals the Obama administration considered compassionate release more palatable than locking up Abdel Baset al-Megrahi in a Libyan prison.

The intervention, which has angered US relatives of those who died in the attack, was made by Richard LeBaron, deputy head of the US embassy in London, a week before Megrahi was freed in August last year on grounds that he had terminal cancer.

The document, acquired by a well-placed US source, threatens to undermine US President Barack Obama's claim last week that all Americans were "surprised, disappointed and angry" to learn of Megrahi's release.

Scottish ministers viewed the level of US resistance to compassionate release as "half-hearted" and a sign it would be accepted.

The US has tried to keep the letter secret, refusing to give permission to the Scottish authorities to publish it on the grounds it would prevent future "frank and open communications" with other governments.

Hey, Barry, here's an idea: HOW ABOUT "FRANK AND OPEN COMMUNICATION" WITH THE AMERICAN PEOPLE?  Think maybe the families of the Pan-Am 103 victims, all 259 of whom died either instantly or horribly at the hands of the demonic filth that received a hero's welcome in Tripoli - and who turned out to not be nearly as "terminally ill" with prostate cancer as we were led to believe - just might have re-lived that nightmare enough already?  Think perhaps they might take issue with the preferred recipients of Red Barry's "compassion"?

Evidently not the Donks who were so self-righteously indignant  on their behalf when it was Shrinking Oil in the crosshairs but have strangely lost interest now that their tin god has edged into the targeting sight.
