There's just one drawback to "vaporization" campaigns like the one being waged by "Dirty Harry" Reid against Sharron "Aereon" Angle: the risk that the crap barrage will drift further and further away from the actual concerns of voters.
I ask you, in a time when Nevada has the highest unemployment rate of any state in the country and is languishing in depressionistic conditions, which of the following two stories truly matters more to the average Nevada voter?
This?:
Or this....
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) will bring a limited package of oil spill response and energy measures to the floor next week, delaying action until at least this fall on a broader proposal that would impose greenhouse gas limits on power plants, senior Senate Democratic aides said.
Aides insisted Reid’s decision is a nod to the packed floor schedule the Senate faces before it leaves in two weeks for the August recess, and that he has not abandoned plans to try and bring up a broader climate and energy plan later in the year…
...with an Eeyore chaser?:
Isn’t this the perfect item for a lame-duck Congress after election day? They’ll never pass it in the next term with a more Republican membership.
Stay on-message, Aereon. When it comes down to their hocked pocketbooks versus their cultural biases, independents will choose the former - for a term, at least.
