Mr. Wet Hits The Ground Gushing

It's been remarked upon more than once in more than one righospheric haunt that the only thing that seems to help ObamaCare's dismal numbers is for the subject to fade from the public radar screen for a while.  With that in mind, is an O-Care marketing Berwickrieg really an unmixed blessing for The One?:

[T]he Obama administration's recess-appointed head of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) - and his staff aren't wasting a lot of time getting settled into their offices.  Already, Berwick, according to career employees at CMS, has begun looking at what resources are at his disposal to launch a wide-scale media and public relations offensive in support of Obamacare and his views on government-funded health care....

Berwick is also said to have asked his senior staff to look for ways to utilize some of the foundations and entities he has had relationships with while working at Harvard and his own think tank, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), and those organizations read like a who's who from the George Soros Dustbin of Leftist Agitators.

Tops of among them is the Open Society Institute (OSI), itself a Soros-funded organization, which, through several different channels, has funneled money to Berwick's IHI think tank at Harvard. Scholars at IHI were involved, for example in the Soros-funded "Project on Death in America," which seeded hundreds of thousands of dollars across the country for studies into end of life issues. The OSI has also funneled similar amounts to organizations involved in drug-policy circles.

Through OSI's contacts, Berwick staff is discussing ways to use leftist propagandist and Corporation for Public Broadcasting gadfly Bill Moyers (the man who famously spent his days as a President Lyndon Johnson aide trashing the reputation of Martin Luther King to the media) to highlight the efforts of the Obama administration's health care "reform" plan.  They are also seeking ways to utilize relationships with charitable organizations that have had ties with Soros's operation, including the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, which has made the issue of "working families" a point of its research. There is also the Nathan Cummings Foundation, a leftist foundation with a definite pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel tilt, which spends millions in the "social justice" arena.

So what's coming down the propaganda pike just in time for the midterm elections is a horde of sneering, extremist Marxist hacks conducting a full-court PR press extolling the wonders and virtues and downright MIRACLES of socialized medicine, LEADING with "death panels"?  After Light-Bringer himself tried to sell this same toxic product and rode it into the frakking ground?

O-Care repeal is polling at 60%; does Barry O secretly want to make it unanimous?

If so, God has bountifully provided; if not, consider it proof that the LORD does, indeed, have a sense of humor:

The relentlessly rising cost of health insurance is prompting some small Massachusetts companies to drop coverage for their workers and encourage them to sign up for state-subsidized care instead, a trend that, some analysts say, could eventually weigh heavily on the state’s already-stressed budget.

Since April 1, the date many insurance contracts are renewed for small businesses, the owners of about 90 small companies terminated their insurance plans with Braintree-based broker Jeff Rich and indicated in a follow-up survey that they were relying on publicly-funded insurance for their employees. …

The Massachusetts Division of Health Care Finance and Policy annually surveys employers and found no significant drop in coverage as of the end of 2009, when more than three-quarters of companies offered health insurance.

But insurance brokers say the pace of terminations has picked up considerably since then among small companies, of which there are thousands in Massachusetts. Many of these companies — restaurants, day-care centers, hair salons, and retail shops — typically pay such low wages that their workers qualify for state-subsidized health insurance when their employers drop their plans.

“Those employers are trying to keep their doors open, and to the extent they can cut expenses, they will cut health insurance because they know their people can go to Commonwealth Care,’’ said Mark Gaunya, president of the Massachusetts Association of Health Underwriters, a trade group representing more than 1,000 brokers and other insurance professionals.

I realize that Ralph Bellamy as Barack Obama isn't real likely casting, but this Trading Places scene just fits sooooooooo well:
