What Took Him So Long?

Looks like Red Barry finally found an American who has fallen in love with ObamaCare after finding out what's in it.

Well, falling in love with it, anyway:

Mr. Crist’s opponents note that he was open to considering offshore drilling as recently as 2009. Some worry that putting a drilling amendment on the November ballot, as Mr. Crist called for in convening this week’s session, would drive Crist voters to the polls. “To find the governor now changing his mind again—against it to for it, to against it again—is just comical,” said state Senator Mike Haridopolos, the incoming state Senate president. “The running joke is that his policy manual is filled with bumper stickers, and for serious people it’s just untenable.”

Mr. Crist has made other policy shifts. Despite pledging as a Republican to help repeal President Obama’s health-care overhaul, Mr. Crist now says he does not support such a move. He has long called himself “pro-life,” doing so even in the interview last week. He is now quick to add that while he personally opposes abortion, he would not seek to overturn Roe v. Wade and supports abortion rights.

See, it really doesn't matter to Sorry Charlie what's in O-Care; he's after Democrat votes, and Democrats love O-Care, so he's gonna be for it, just like Democrats are anti-drilling, so he's now against that, and Democrats are pro-abortion so he's now for that, and so on, and so on, and so on until we all spectacularly puke.

But not so long ago, he was all kinds of for repealing the mega-giant-gargantuan crap sandwich:

Crist says if Obamacare passes, it would be “devastating” for Florida. “I’m concerned about them trying to ram this through.”

Does his position on the bill differ from Marco Rubio, his GOP Senate primary opponent? No, he says. “I don’t think there are any differences.”

Though he did not attend the tea-party rallies on the Hill this morning, Crist says such efforts should be “celebrated.” And if the health-care bill passes, he says he will “certainly” work to repeal it, even at rallies.

Ordinarily I wouldn't read anything into his passing up Tea Party rallies on something with which he was supposedly in such vehement agreement with them.  But it sure looks awfully indicative in hindsight, doesn't it?

So does that complete the flip list yet?  He's checked off O-Care, abortion, energy, and he embraced False Messiah AND Hogzilla from day one, plus he's unsubtley signaled he'd be thrilled to swear allegience to Harry Reid Ali Dickbar al-Durbini Chucky Schumer Flip A. Coin for minority leader next January (Hey, if you're going to dream, dream BIG).  Hasn't Sorry Charlie reached the point where he's going to have to tack right again to save the "independent" credibility he's never had?

Urge extention of the Bush tax cuts, Gov'na, and you might just reel back enough 'Pubbies and indies to pull this quixotic quest off.
