We've got some bad news and some very encouraging news to report.
The bad news is that yesterday, Rep. Tom Price's (R-GA) resolution to prevent a Lame Duck Session was defeated 236 to 163. This can mean nothing else but that Democrats are open to coming back after the November elections to try and ram through more unpopular job-killing legislation.
But the good news is that since Newt wrote a letter to Congress urging them to pledge not to participate in a Lame Duck Session, over 92,000 Americans have stood up and signed their names as well.
That's over 92,000 people in just six days.
This issue clearly hits a nerve, and we need to ensure that we keep up the pressure, particularly on the 236 Representatives that are now on record as favoring a Lame Duck Session.
If you haven't signed the No Lame Duck letter to your member of Congress yet, please go here to do so now.
This is your opportunity to stand with Newt and over 92,000 other Americans to help prevent the Left from subverting the will of the American people.
Together we can send a message.
Sincerely,
Adam Waldeck Director of eCommunications and eCampaigns American Solutions | | | | |
