Hard Core
I've often wondered who in their right mind would think Obama's policies are good for America. "Right mind," I think, is the key phrase here. Anyway, John Hinderaker over at Power Line has a blurb up that summarizes this phenomenon, regarding John Edwards' approval rating in his home state...it's just 11%:
Which brings us to this Rasmussen survey on John Edwards' standing with North Carolina voters. The numbers are certainly bad: 11% view Edwards favorably, while 84% have an unfavorable opinion. That is, by any standard, a stunning fall from grace. Just six years ago, Edwards was his party's Vice Presidential candidate, and a mere two and a half years ago he was a credible candidate for the Presidency. So 84% unfavorability in his home state is appalling, but not surprising, given what we now know about Edwards.
What intrigues John (and me) is the 11%. Whatever possesses these people to think highly of John Edwards, now that we know what he's really like? Read the piece, it's really pretty simple. The people with their hands out will vote for more goodies, no matter WHO is offering them.
