Dear Fellow Conservative,

For more than a year now, we have seen that there is no institution that Obama and the liberals in Congress will hesitate to dismantle, undermine, or damage-from our healthcare system to the readiness of our armed forces. And so far we’ve done our best to respond to each new outrage and try to stem the damage they’re doing to our country. Alas, this is all in preparation for our biggest fight yet:

Obama and his pals in Congress have their sights set on reshaping our classrooms and our children.

No Child Left Behind (also known as the “Elementary and Secondary Education Act”) is the federal government’s tool for shaping education. It is overdue for reauthorization, but President Obama has made his intentions clear in his “blueprint” for education and in his appointment of radical gay activist Kevin Jennings to the Department of Education.

It’s not hard to envision the perfect classroom in Obama’s America. It’s a place where:

Affirmation of homosexual marriage and alternative lifestyles would be taught as part of “anti-bullying” and “safe-schools” programs.
Planned Parenthood, America’s largest abortion provider, would be in charge of sex education, values instruction, and counseling.
Unelected bureaucrats and special interest groups would select the standards, curricula, teaching methods, and materials for the classroom.
Parents and local communities-the foundation of American education-would lose their say in how their children are educated.
Homeschoolers and private schools would be subject to ever-increasing government oversight and intrusion.

Through bad times and good, America has remained, in President Lincoln’s words, “the last, best, hope of mankind” for one reason: our belief in the principles in our Declaration of Independence and our Constitution. That belief has been passed down from generation to generation, from parents to their children.

But we risk losing that belief if we allow government to further intrude in the sacred relationship between parent and child.

What is at stake is nothing less than the survival of our values and the protection of our children. We must act now to let Obama and Congress know that we won’t accept a federal takeover of education.

What can you do to help? There are three steps that are crucial to defeating the Obama education agenda:

We’ve all learned that there is nothing that Obama, Pelosi, and company won’t stoop to in order to forward their radical agenda. And this is their chance to indoctrinate a new generation in their ideology. Be ready for more unread 1000-page bills, last-minute hearings, and slandering of the opposition. But we know their playbook, and we’ll be ready for them. The stakes are too high. We are fighting for nothing less than the innocence of our children and the preservation of our values. It’s time to put power back in the hands of parents.
