Three-Legged Deano
It's an Undine reference. Not really relevant to Howard Dean, other than homonymically. I just felt like I needed another derisive nickname for Dr. Demented is all.
I've left out his [snicker] senate election "prognostications" out of a [probably misplaced] variation on the "mercy rule" concept. Well, that, and they're so blinking idiotic that I simply don't wish to waste the keystrokes ridiculing them.
Rather, let's harvest some insight from Deano's YEEEEEAAAARRRRGGGHHHHish glibness on the fate of the O-Care individual mandate:
Understand, first, that he's critical of the individual mandate because he's a Marxist who isn't also an Alinskyist. He wants to go straight to single-payer, do not pass go, do not collect $200 trillion, wants to see the private health insurance market summarily abolished, and cannot abide the "incrementalism" of stringing the carriers along as temporary accomplices in the interim by eviscerating the Constitution via forcing everybody to purchase comprehensive health coverage for the EEEEEVIL insurers' financial, risk pool-expanding benefit. Thus Chairman How doesn't have to peddle any regime BS depicting the individual mandate as anything but what it really is - flagrantly unconstitutional.
Secondly and pertinently, if the individual mandate gets struck down, the next Congress will want to "go back to square one," but Red Barry won't, because he knows the immediate result will be to what's left of the private health care sector what pulling the lever on the gallows is to the poor soul with the rope around his neck. Premiums will explode, the private market will collapse, and we'll have another of B.O.'s cherished "crises" on our hands, to which the only "solution" will be....single-payer.
Proving, I suppose, that every madness has SOME method within it, even in a "stopped clock is right twice a day" sense.
