Andy Stern Under FBI Investigation?

You know what's remarkable about this?:

Prominent ex-labor leader Andy Stern is reportedly being investigated by the FBI and Department of Labor as part of a corruption probe involving the Service Employees International Union, authorities said.

Two organized labor officials met with federal agents this summer to answer questions about Stern’s role in approving money to pay the salary of an SEIU leader in California who performed no work and a book contract that Stern landed in 2006, The Los Angeles Times reported today on its website.

Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the investigation.

...Stern abruptly resigned as president of the 2.2-million member SEIU in April.

Stern, who currently sits on President Obama's bipartisan deficit-reduction commission, has not commented on the investigation.

As part of the corruption probe, the feds have been examining $150,000 in consulting fees paid to a disgraced former Los Angeles labor leader under a confidential agreement signed by Stern, then president of the powerful Service Employees International Union, according to documents and interviews.

Okay, two remarkabilities: (1) The L.A. Slimes reported the story at all; and (2) more to the point, that Eric The Red's Department of Injustice & Revenge is investigating so close a political butt-buddy of the Chicago Cherubim.  When Stern relinquished command of the Purpleshirts six months ago, it was speculated that O had bigger things in store for him; could it be that he's somehow fiddled when he should have faddled and fallen out of White House favor?

Why the work [Working America] is doing is so critical. I would just strongly urge everyone to get to work organizing on the local level because I think it’s the only way we’re going to turn things around in this country.

We need to fundamentally restructure our economy and re-establish popular control over the private corporations which have distorted our economy and hijacked our government. That’s a long-term job, but one we should start now.

Exit question: How long until Eric The Red gets the word from his boss to call off the FBI dogs?  Or are the Obamunists even more racist than they are extreme and corrupt?
