Division Is Unity & Unity Is Division
Y'know, if he wasn't already "some kind of a god," I'd wonder whether The Geniune Article might not just strike Barry dead for this:
Yeah, Barry, but how 'bout we turn illegal immigration into a ....law enforcement issue instead? That's already brought the overwhelming majority of the American people together....in opposition to you and your electoral-deck-stacking amnesty scheme. And the economy. And health care. And taxes. And the deficit. And humiliating us overseas. See, he's a "uniter" after all!
But that "bringing people together" shit is really unabidable. Maybe if he said "herding" people together, it would at least have the ring of truth to it. As it is, coming from the same gaggle that has spent the past year and two-thirds serially demonizing everybody from Rush Limbaugh to Sarah Palin to George W. Bush to the Republican Party to John "Who?" Boehner to the Tea Party movement (i.e. the American people)....or, in other words, EVERYBODY, the following is, shall we say, highly unremarkable:
"If you're on the left, if you're somebody like Keith Olbermann or Rachel Maddow or one of the folks who helps to keep our government honest and pushes and prods to make sure that folks are true to [re]gressive values, then [the president] thinks that those folks provide an invaluable service,” (Deputy Press Secretary Bill) Burton told reporters.
"Pushing and prodding" is a fine double entendre, but it's awfully difficult to find anything....unifying hidden amongst its caustic folds. So how can two of the most divisive creatures on the planet, lauded by THE most divisive creature on the planet, possibly "provide an invaluable service"?
You know how: The Narrative. In Obamunist doctrine there is no moral equivalence between Left and Right. The Right is inherently evil, and the Left is inherently righteous. Therefore everything we do is evil regardless of whether it is objectively wrong, while everything they do is righteous, no matter how despicable it is. So conservatives defending low taxes and deregulation is "greedy," conservatives arguing against ecofascism is "climate genocide," conservatives calling for shrinking government is "mean" and "heartless," conservatives standing for religious liberty and JudeoChristian values is "hatred" and "bigotry," conservatives seeking victory in the War on Terror is "Islamophobic warmongering," and conservatives demanding enforcement of existing immigration laws is "racism".
Notice the common vituperative thread? We didn't come up with it. Yet we're the "divisive" ones.
So how is it that The One is in the low 40s and his party is on the brink of extinction? I guess "divisiveness" beats "pushing and prodding" after all.
