Even Obamunists Have Their Angel Dust Partiers

Or Speedball Partiers, or Crystal Meth Partiers, or Ecstasy Partiers - how about "Hospitality Bowlers"?

It's all pretty much the same thing:

“You want us to help you, the first thing I would suggest is enough of the hippie punching,” Madrak added. “We’re the girl you’ll take under the bleachers but you won’t be seen with in the light of day.”

Axelrod didn’t engage on “hippie punching,” but he said he agreed with the blogger. “To the extent that we shouldn’t get involved in intramural skirmishing, I couldn’t agree more,” Axelrod said. “We just can’t afford that. There are big things at stake here.”

Madrak replied that Axelrod was missing the point — that the criticism of the left made it tougher for bloggers like herself to motivate the base. “Don’t make our jobs harder,” she said.

“Right back at’cha. Right back at’cha,” Axelrod replied, a bit testily, an apparent reference to blogospheric criticism of the administration.

What Team Messiah is experiencing right now, we'll be slogging through in probably less than a year: the fever swamps bought all the hopenchange hype at exorbitant interest rates, and their god and savior delivered on most of it.  But "most of it" isn't enough for them, because "all of it" included a full-fledged dictatorship of the proletariat and having shipped every last evangelical, conservative, and Republican off to the Alaska Gulag for permanent liquidation.

Which raises the question of why [snicker] "Axelrod" is begging them for help now when the Kos-hacks, Sorosians, and all their tinfoil hat bottom-suckers are already freaking out over the rebirth of "Talibamerika".  The answer is simple: The Regime has nowhere else to turn.  They've lost independents a long time ago, and "Obamicans" long before that.  They're going to get slaughtered in five and a half weeks; all they can do is try to contain the damage, and their only option for doing that is negative base motivation.

Or, in other words, the same thing the GOP tried in '06 by hanging out Nancy Pelosi scarecrows to distract disgruntled voters from Mark Foley, Larry Craig, Duke Cunningham, and four deafening years of "antiwar" screeching.  Which worked SO well that Republican House losses were held to "only" thirty-one seats from the FIFTY toward which they were headed - which meant, in practical terms, that they were only delayed two years.

The truth is, Barry's palace guard has no idea what to do.  Their policies are failing across the board, they're unwilling to change those policies, they've lost the vast majority of the electorate, and their dwindling base is either sated or already negatively motivated - which will avail the Dems nothing in any case.

They're trapped, with no avenue of escape.

Time for the coup de tat (i.e. dragging the girl stashed under the bleachers and doing her right on top of Old Resolute)?  It's all they've got left.
