Think She'll Do It?
The pro-Hillary ads are starting already, this one put up by a dentist in Louisiana.
It amazes me when I hear somebody pine for the Clinton years, like he was Winston Churchill or something. I like the guy in the comment section who says "Hillary Clinton is just Obama in drag." That is absolutely true. She's a liberal through-and-through, and would also be bad for this country...though I have to stop short of saying she would be AS bad as Obama. I think he borders on evil.
JASmius adds: I think the Empress would have been more....adaptable to the changing political circumstances. Perhaps she'd have "taken command" of the [Hillary]Care process from the start rather than outsourcing the whole kit & kaboodle to Crazy Nancy and Dirty Harry and stay out on the campaign trail with TOTUS, like The One did, and gotten it rammed through months earlier. Maybe she would have avoided some or all of the "rookie" mistakes he's made.
It could be that dubbing Red Barry over the Ugly Dutchess will be the difference between a temporary midterm setback and "permanent" Donk political exile on a par with what the GOP suffered after 1932 - and supposedly was headed for again after 2008.
Does that mean she'll primary Lucifer in '12? The conventional wisdom says "of course not," and I'm inclined to agree. However, if, as some speculate, B.O. refuses to adapt, in Clintonoid fashion, to the new congressional landscape next year, and continues to politically toxify at his current rate, he may well not seek re-election. That would provide the opening that old harridan would need. Same thing if he resigns. This would be consistent with her penchant for only jumping on sure things. It's why she cherry-picked that New York senate seat, and why she didn't challenge Dubya in '04 but waited for '08 when the field would be wide open and she would have her (she thought) coronational processional.
A primary rematch with Barry as the incumbent would not be a sure thing, no matter how unpopular and unreelectable he'd have become. Just ask Ted Kennedy, who thought he could knock off Jimmy Carter in 1980 and was less than entirely successful.
But who knows? With elite marketing savvy that can produce such sloganal gems as, "Where there's a Hill, there's a way," maybe the sky is the limit.
