He Found His Thrill On Slurpee Hill

I'M SORRY, THERE IS NO ESCAPE KEY. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO?

Triangulation is still obviously not the answer:

Seeking to explain his party's troubles, the president focused not on controversial legislation like national health care and the stimulus but on evolutionary psychology. "Part of the reason that our politics seems so tough right now, and facts and science and argument do not seem to be winning the day all the time, is because we're hard-wired not to always think clearly when we're scared," Obama told the assembled Democrats, who paid $15,200 a person to attend. "And the country is scared."

To "break through the fear and the frustration that people are feeling right now," Obama told the crowd, will require high-end donors not just to "write checks" but also to "lift up people's spirits and make sure that they're not reacting just to fear."

Wow, I thought "lifting up spirits" was False Messiah's job.  Unless that's come to mean "getting hammered on a regular basis".  If he had a conscience I'd wager he was about three more contemptuous speeches like this one away from swan-diving off the White House roof.

"Facts"?  How 'bout the unemployment rate that was supposed to not exceed 8% if Hogzilla was rammed through in a pants-wetting panic?  How about "If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor"?  How about "[ObamaCare] will bend the cost curve"?  How about "the whole world will love us if I humiliate myself repeatedly before our enemies"?  How about "tough diplomacy will persuade Iran to give up its nukes"?  How about "beating up Israel will lead to Middle East peace"?

"Science"?  You mean like the gas we exhale when we breathe and that the plant kingdom respires is somehow a "dangerous pollutant" that must be eliminated from the planet's atmosphere or we're all gonna fry?  The latter of which also has so much evidence to support it that the full-time occupation of "climatologists" has become MSU?  And I don't mean Mississippi State University.

"Argument"?  You mean like how the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is "threatening our democracy" with "foreign money" (even though they're not) but you raked in 2008 foreign money by the boatload to "save" America from such "threats"?  And your party is still doing it today?

Can we talk "fear" for a moment?:

Obama's done more than his share of fearmongering this election cycle. If Americans are afraid, they've got good reason to be.

The President says that the GOP repeal of ObamaCare will lead to increased premiums and reduced benefits....

The President says that the GOP will hurt the economy by scuttling his stimulus, especially "green energy subsidies" and "thousands of green jobs." Of course, he just admitted the other day that there's no such thing as a "shovel-ready project" and no magical "green economy" has materialized....

Obama continues to fearmonger on tax cuts, claiming in a blatant lie that the GOP will not renew tax cuts for the middle class. The truth is, the Bush tax cuts (which included cuts for the middle class) are expiring because of his own party. They would have been permanent but for Democrat opposition....

And so on.

As with Donk abuse of the rest of their despicable "playbook," fearmongering has been overdone to such excess that the public isn't buying it anymore - especially alongside the concrete evidence of The One's comprehensive, arrogant, obnoxious failure:

Most Democrats believe this, or some variation of it; but 90% of office-holders do not say it. They do not give in to their angry id and impugn voters' judgments over the sin of deeming their failures to be actual failures.

Bill Clinton tended to avoid this almost always.

But Obama is different. He believes this deeply, and furthermore, he has such an ego that he feels he'd be demeaning himself to suppress his true beliefs.

He won't lower himself to your level - it's that simple.

Not even if it would save his party, and eventually himself, from catastrophic electoral defeat.  That'd almost be noble if it wasn't so rankly perverse.

But even if His big-eared pretender is totally obtuse to it, God is not without a delicious sense of humor.
