It's Now Or Never

Senate Conservatives Fund
Dear Fellow Conservative:

I'm writing to give you a race-by-race election update and to encourage you to make one final contribution to our candidates before it's too late. If you contribute today, your donation could be the one that pushes one of our candidates to victory. Many of these races are very close and your support could be the deciding factor.

President Obama and his political machine are working overtime to keep our candidates from winning. We must not let them succeed. America is exceptional and we must stop the socialist polices that are pushing us to the left of Europe.

Here's a quick update on the 11 races we are tracking:

In Colorado, Ken Buck has maintained a narrow lead even though appointed Senator Michael Bennet and the liberal special interest groups have come out in full force against him. Bennet continues to run from his liberal record. After having President Obama play a very visible role for him during the Democrat primary, Bennet admitted this week that he's now trying to downplay Obama's support because it will alienate independent voters. Bennet doesn't want to remind people that he's a rubber stamp for the most destructive administration our nation has ever seen. He's thrown everything but the kitchen sink at Ken Buck to keep people distracted from his liberal record. Let's give Ken Buck one final push so everyone knows about the clear choice is this race.

In Alaska, Joe Miller remains cool under fire. The liberal media in Alaska has done everything it can to destroy him, and liberal Lisa Murkowski has spent millions to malign him. In a recent debate, she even stooped low enough to question the decorated combat veteran's military service. Murkowski was also caught sending campaign literature claiming support from people who are not backing her. She's run one of the sleaziest campaigns this year, but if we don't push hard right now, she could win the race or steal enough votes away from Miller to hand the seat to the Democrat. Recent polls show that the race is essentially a thee-way tie.

In Nevada, Sharron Angle continues to prove those who said she couldn't compete with Harry Reid wrong. It turns out the voters in Nevada want a principled leader who will fight the massive spending, bailouts, and debt that Reid hasn't. According to several new polls, Angle now leads Reid by about four percentage points. However, reports of election irregularities suggest that Reid and his supporters may be engaged in voter fraud. One voter said they found Reid's name checked on their ballot before they had even cast their vote. And new reports are coming out about heavy-handed and illegal tactics being used by labor unions to pressure employees to vote for Reid. This cannot stand. Please help Sharron Angle defeat Harry Reid.

In Washington, Dino Rossi appears to be pulling ahead of Senator Patty Murray. A new Rasmussen Reports survey shows Rossi with a one percentage point lead. Rossi dominated Murray in their televised debates by effectively challenging her support for government-run health care and wasteful pork-barrel spending. Now the Senator who was elected 18 years ago as the self-described "mom in tennis shoes" is running for her political life. Please help Dino Rossi retire those tennis shoes so he can fight to stop the spending and balance the budget.

In West Virginia, John Raese is in a close race with Governor Joe Manchin, perhaps the most inconsistent politician in America. Manchin supported cap-and-trade, the stimulus bill, and Obamacare but now he's running away from all three. He's desperately trying to convince voters that he's a conservative. This kind of dishonesty cannot go unchecked. We must fight to help Raese win this race. He's the only candidate who will stop the spending, repeal Obamacare, and defeat job-killing tax increases. The most recent Rasmussen Reports survey shows Raese down just three percentage points. Let's help him close the gap.

In Pennsylvania, Pat Toomey has bounced back to an eight percentage point lead, but the liberal machine is gearing up for a big fight. Bill Clinton and Michelle Obama are both headed to Pennsylvania to help turn out Democrat votes for Congressman Joe Sestak. We helped Pat Toomey overcome Arlen Specter when the entire Republican establishment said he could not win. He's leading now and can certainly win this race if we keep fighting. I served with Pat Toomey when he was in Congress and he's an exceptional leader who will fight for conservative principles in the Senate.

In Kentucky, Rand Paul has jumped out to a nine percentage point lead against Democrat Jack Conway. Rand has run a principled campaign against the excesses of the federal government and called for restoring constitutional limits. In an act of desperation, Conway recently ran a television ad that questioned Rand's Christian faith. I'm confident Rand is going to win this race but we should keep working to run up the score. We need to make an example out of Jack Conway so candidates won't engage in this kind of politics ever again.

In Wisconsin, Ron Johnson is maintaining a steady lead over Democrat Russ Feingold. The most recent Rasmussen Reports survey has him up by seven percentage points. Johnson has stuck to his principles during this campaign and it's paying off. Voters in Wisconsin want a leader who will stand up to the big spenders in both political parties. Ron Johnson is that leader. He's running for the Senate to join the fight, not the club. Please help him finish strong so he can join me in the fight for our future.

In Florida, Marco Rubio has launched a final two-minute commercial that reminds us why we backed him early in this race. You can watch "A Generational Choice" here. Meanwhile, Charlie Crist continues to remind us why he shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the United States Senate. In a last-minute act of desperation, Crist is pushing the story that Bill Clinton tried to convince Democrat Kendrick Meek to drop out of the three-way race. Crist is seeking to gain Democratic votes by painting Meek as the spoiler and by claiming support from the White House. Let's finish what we started here back in June of 2009 and make one final push for Marco Rubio.

In Utah, Mike Lee continues to impress. The left is attacking him now for saying that a government shutdown could occur if President Obama doesn't agree to reductions in spending necessary to balance our budget. Liberals are also upset because Lee has said he won't vote to increase the statutory debt limit under any circumstance. Recent polls show Lee with a commanding lead over his Democrat opponent, but we need to help him finish strong. Mike Lee will be a reliable voice in the Senate for the principles of freedom.

You have helped many of these candidates get into the position to win. Now we need your help to push them across the finish line. Please make one final contribution to our endorsed candidates and then forward this email on to your family and friends.

If we keep fighting, we can make this an earthquake election that shakes the Washington establishment and begins to restore America's greatness. Let's keep up the pressure and make November 2nd the biggest Tea Party of them all.

Respectfully,
