Laura Moslinowsky Apes Her New God
Remember this little lowlight from the 2008 Godbama Ascension?:
Leave us not omit Obamanation's vast and unshakeable reverence for the First Amendment:
St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce and St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch are threatening to bring libel charges against those who speak out falsely against Barack Obama. KMOV aired a story last night, that stated that St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch and St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, both Obama supporters, are threatening to bring criminal libel charges against anyone who levels what turns out to be false criticisms of their chosen candidate for President.
Since when do libel laws apply to politics? If George W. Bush had pursued the same avenue of attack, the entire Democrat Party would have been imprisoned before his first Inauguration. And, of course, he'd have never been elected in the first place, denounced by the Dems as...well, pretty much everything they've called him over the past eight years.
Even more to the point, how can this be legal if they're only targeting Obama critics? Doesn't the policy HAVE to work both ways?
Obamanation considers the First Amendment to be bathroom tissue, folks. They don't give a rat's ass about "truth" OR freedom of speech for all. Think they won't reimpose the Fairness Doctrine at the earliest opportunity?
Doesn't that sound eerily similar to this raging, bitchy, banshee howl of aggrieved aristocratic autocracy?:
U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski’s campaign is warning Alaska broadcasters not to air ads by a national tea party group that the campaign says are “littered with lies and intentional mischaracterizations” about her and her write-in campaign.
Attorney Timothy McKeever, in a letter to broadcasters Monday, said they are under a “legal and moral obligation” not to air the new ads from Tea Party Express, which is supporting Joe Miller, the political upstart who defeated Murkowski in the August GOP primary…
At issue is an ad the group unveiled Monday, entitled “Arrogant Lisa Murkowski — You Lost!” It seeks to paint Murkowski as more interested in political self-preservation than in serving the interests of Alaskans. It also claims she didn’t “earn” her Senate seat and that she “tried to manipulate the Libertarian party into giving her their slot” on the ballot — claims McKeever called “materially false.”
First Amendment ring a bell there, Lola? Or Citizen United? Anybody know how she voted on the DISCLOSE Act? Anybody doubt how she'd vote if it came up again?
And anybody dispute that the TPE ad she's incensed about struck a raw vanity nerve like a live third rail?:
As both Ace and Eeyore conclude, "politics ain't beanbag". Fact is, this spot nails Moribundski like she was chained to Tommy Lee's houseboat. It pokes a big, fat hole in her risibly delusional yet oh-so-pufferized rationale for mounting her pathetic write-in bid - which, admittedly, is only slightly less difficult than firing a twinkie cannon at Michael Moore without the indestructible snack hitting the floor.
What makes her self-righteous hissy-fitting even more ridiculous is her demonstrable exercise in serial fantasist mendacities at Joe Miller's expense launched just last week:
Ladies and gentlemen, it takes balls the size of honeydews for the Crown Princess of the Last Frontier to rip off Scott Brown's Massachusetts populism, which you'll recall was directed at that state's self-appointed political dynasty. To squeal in outrage at those honeydews getting socked by the inevitable boomerang effect simply confirms the target's destruction.
Exit question: Doesn't the term "populism" imply popularity? How does blatant intimidation designed to censor political speech make her solipsistic windmill-tilting more appealing to the people of Alaska?
