Piledriver
Not of the tombstone variety - yet:
Ooops, sorry, wrong piledriver:
There is, yes, more than a little pro wrestling psychology in the timing of this ad. Oftentimes in a big pay-per-view match, the ring foes do a "spot" (wrestling move) deriving from the build up to the pay-per-view early in the match in order to build upon it for the big finish. Also, the top stars usually have a big move that sets up their finisher (signature move with which they win their matches). Hulk Hogan had the big boot to the face off the ropes before his leg drop finisher; Shawn Michaels had the big top rope Randy Savage elbow drop prior to his superkick "sweet chin music" finisher; and, of course, the Undertaker executes the chokeslam as prelude to the tombstone piledriver.
Not so eerily similarly, exposing the "Hanoi Dick" medacities was the "ring steps to the head" that "busted" Blumie "wide open" and got Mrs. McMahon "into the match". She's been hammering away at the lousy Obamaconomy and Blumenthal's open promise to rubber-stamp more of the same in contrast to her track record of success as CEO of WW[E] ever since, and now she's within the margin of error. And today, on the very day of their first televised debate, she harkens back to the Hanoi Dick "spot" and drills him with the ring steps again.
And the crowd is popping HUGE.
It isn't Linda's "finisher"; but it's setting Blumie up for it.
And just think: We haven't even gotten to the "Hell In The Cell" metaphors.
But we will.
