Service Is Welfare, Welfare Is Service
Even though you know these filthbags have always believed this garbage deep down in their flinty, shriveled little hearts, and even though more and more leftwingnuts have bothered less and less to conceal it over the past decade, something like Representative Jim Moran's (D-VA8) vile militarophobic outburst against Republican challenger Patrick Murphy still manages to be breathtaking in its sheer sneering recklessness:
Helpfully points out The Other McCain:
Patrick Murray served twenty-four years in the Army, rising to the rank of colonel, and was deployed to Baghdad in 2007 as part of the Iraq "surge." But that's not "any kind of public service," according to Jim Moran.
Moran's remarks are a knee to the groin of the military, says my blog colleague Smitty, an Annapolis grad who very much considers his forthcoming deployment to Afghanistan to be "any kind of public service."
Ah, but that's just - what - "making taxpayers subsidize war criminals"? Wasting "government money" on "making the world safe for Nazi plutocracy," instead of the moral, virtuous, righteous high calling of sainted, angelic "progressives" like Jim Moran to "invest" it in porkapaloozas and rampaging nationalization blitzkriegs, and bringing eight-year-old carjackers - and warmongering Jooooooos - to justice.
Has anybody polled Virginia-8? It's a safe Donk district, but if anything can bring down this worthless bag of pus, this is the cycle for it to happen.
