Sharron Angle's Next Ad

She may have to start giving Dirty Harry on-screen credits from now until November 2nd - and perhaps the estates of Teddy Kennedy and Sheets Byrd as well:

You thought I was kidding, didn't you?  Sure, Aereon should keep her marketing wing for positive, issue-oriented advertising, but for the negative stuff all she has to do is keep a camera on Pencil-Neck 24/7 to get more ad material and copy than she could ever use even if her Senate tenure runs over as long as Reid's has.

Dear God, is Senator Fife really this retarded?  This is like the joke about where they bury the survivors after a plane crash.  And Angle is supposed to be the dipshit?

Allow me to field an alternative explanation: Harry Reid is an abysmal listener.  He heard the part of the question he wanted to answer - "What American do you most admire?" - and tuned out the "living" part because he wanted to put over the Kleagle and the Manatee.  For what Earthly reason I cannot fathom, as I can't see how that would help him dig out of the hole with Nevada voters in which he's buried himself over the past year and a half (at least).

If you're going to bring up dead Americans, there's always FDR or JFK or MLK, all safe boilerplate citations for a Democrat.  Or use it as an opportunity to pander to our troops fighting the wars he wanted to defund and quit on.  But a Klansman and a dissolute vehicular manslaughterer?  It's like he's been in the Senate for so long he no longer realizes that there is a world outside of it that isn't parsecs beneath his imagined "station" in life.  And within that tiny subset of Americana he chooses perhaps the two most disreputable examples, living or dead.

Or, in other words, on the surface, this clip makes Harry Reid look like a moron; beneath the surface, it makes him look like a despicable scoundrel.

If I were Sharron Angle, I would approve this message.  Because running up the score is a bitchin' lot of fun.
