Arctic Psychobabble

Check this out. A left-wing Alaska psychologist tries to figure out the Sarah Palin phenomenon. Keep in mind, now, this guy is a practicing psychologist, probably providing therapy for dozens of people.

When I awoke two years ago in Fairbanks and heard that John McCain had chosen Sarah Palin as a vice presidential candidate, I felt I had woken up in a never-ending dream, an improbable parallel reality.

Apparently this dreamlike improbable parallel reality has now continued for more than two years. So I tell myself, "I am a psychologist. I work with dreams. If I am ever to wake up out of this dream, I clearly have to figure out, 'What part of my psyche does Sarah Palin represent?'"

Okay, there's your teaser. Read the rest of the article, you'll feel like you're in some parallel universe. Do these guys really think this way? Or is this not to be taken seriously? Kinda hard to tell. I think these people believe this malarkey. This self, that self - I think this dude needs some professional help.
