She's Baaaaaaack

Actually, she'll never have left.  But get a load of the conceited nonsense she hung out there as justification for this exercise in bitter clinging:

"Driven by the urgency of destroying creating jobs & guaranteeing the bankruptcies of protecting #hcr, #wsr, Social Security & Medicare, I am running for Dem Leader."

Which means she already is Minority Leader, since she wouldn't announce it if it wasn't already in the bag.  Not that it matters; she can't do any of those things, even if they were what she really wanted to do.  Helplessness is the legacy of any House Minority Leader; just ask John Boehner seven and a half months ago.  It's the Senate and White House that'll be playing defense on these issues, while Granny will revel in the delusion of her relevancy.

What's interesting is the game of musical leadership chairs to come.  In any normal circumstance, Pelosi would be retiring and Steny Hoyer would make the lateral move to Minority Leader, like Boehner did after the 2006 midterms and the retirement of Speaker Denny Hastert.  But with Crazy Nancy hanging onto however much power she can grasp like a vampire does the door of a blood bank, everybody else gets bumped down a notch, which puts Hoyer in an awkward position: He's too much of a pussy to take on Granny, but does he really want to take the heat of being the one to screw highest-ranking black House Demcorat Jim Clyburn out of his party whip post?  Because Clyburn is giving no indication that he's willing to make way for Whitey Steny.

"Short of Obama walking up to the podium on Wednesday and flipping the bird to the cameras, I can’t think of a clearer way to signal that Tuesday’s message has emphatically not been received," Eeyore writes.  But then bird-flipping is what they've been doing for the past two years; why should now be any different?  Is it any wonder that the GOP is jubilant?  It's like an early Christmas of the gift that can't cease giving.

Finally, a way to exploit the mentally handicapped with a clear conscience.
