What's Wrong With Bullying The Left?

Shinola, they've been "bullying" the rest of us for eighty years right up to the edge of the capital-"A" Abyss; if we don't start "bullying" back now, we'll never get another chance.

That's why Chris Christie is so popular even in his own deep blue state: He doesn't pussy-foot, he doesn't weasel-word, he doesn't chicken out - he lets 'em have it right between the eyes:

Seriously, how can you not respect that?  Double-C doesn't take it personal, doesn't take cheap shots; he goes after leftwingnuts completely on policy substance.  And they can't lay a policy substance glove on him - which is why they have to lie about him and call him names both vile and whiny in return.

It's all in that word: RESPECT.  It's why I don't sweat tighty-righty attacks on Governor Christie's less than robust border enforcement stance, for example; I disagree with him on that, but I respect the man so much for his honesty, candor, courage, and tough eloquence on the vast majority of issues where we're in agreement that I can live with the occasional difference of opinion. (The other reason is that the Big Man won't be in a position to run for president for years, if he ever does, so what he thinks about, say, Don't Ask/Don't Tell isn't a burning priority).

It's the same reason why President Lincoln refused to pull the plug on General Grant during the Civil War: "I cannot spare this man - he fights."  We need thousands more fighters like Chris Christie if America is ever to be deObamunized; I'm not going to flip off most of them because of any misguided purity fetish, much less pussified fretting over the overrated hypersensibilities of "moderates".  Remember one thing above all: swing voters will swing toward the last person to get into their ears; if Republicans follow the Big Man's lead and never shut up, never stop educating the public on conservatism, capitalism, and constitutionalism, they'll keep swinging in the right direction.
