Good-Time Charlie's Gold Watch
They censure him, then they give him a standing ovation:
The final chapter, or at least the one that will be remembered most, in Representative Charles Rangel's "illustrious" career - being censured for his criminal acts. He should be removed from office, but instead receives a wrist slap. As is typical of him, he feels sorry for himself during his speech on the House floor. He shows absolutely no remorse - and he is rewarded with a standing ovation. If we don't pay our taxes, our accounts are levied and/or we are sent to jail. This guy? Well, he gets a little slap on the wrist and keeps on keepin' on, living high on the hog thanks to the taxpayers he screwed. What a deal!
