We're 2 For 3

Don't Ask, Don't Tell repeal passes. We lost that one. Now we have to stop the stupid START treaty. This lame duck Congress is a real turkey. They apparently want to destroy as much of America as we know it as possible before Christmas.

JASmius adds: There was never any reason to repeal Don't Ask/Don't Tell because homosexuals were already allowed to serve in the United States Armed Forces; they just were required to keep their "orientation" to themselves.  The call to replaced DADT with TABOO (Tell And Bend On Over) wasn't about allowing homosexuals to serve, it was about forcing queer rights on about the last societal institution that hadn't yet been lavenderized, and driving evangelical Christian soliders, sailors, airmen, marines, and coast guardsmen into the closets the homosexuals just frolicked out of - or persecuted out of the service altogether.  Which will happen, as the military doesn't leave policy matters to the whim of rank & file opinion.  Queer rights will be official Pentagon policy, and everybody in uniform will be forced to endorse homosexuality or, presumeably, be dishonorably discharged.

This will have all the detrimental effects in recruitment erosion, mass retirements/exits, and unit cohesion that we've long predicted - which, of course, has always been the endgame behind the Left's relentless pursuit of sodomizing the Pentagon.  With no draft, and recruitment of volunteers crippled, and the looming entitlements apocalypse threatening the erasure of all military spending, the United States will be reduced to effective defenselessness - just as liberals have always wanted.

Leave it, then, to none other than Lindsey Grahamnesty to provide the exit comment:

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) does not see a political lift for President Obama in the imminent repeal of the Clinton-era policy banning gays from serving openly in the military.

“I think the people who are supportive of [repealing] 'Don’t ask, don’t tell’ were probably supportive of the president to begin with,” he told reporters in the Capitol.

“Most Americans, I think, hope it works out. I certainly do. I think it is going to be problematic and whatever problems it has, [Obama] owns,” Graham added.

Exit prediction: As his domestic policies have created unprecedented disasters in his first two years, foreign policy disasters will remark the remainder of Barack Obama's misbegotten term.

Prayerfully, most of us will live through them.
