In previous reports to you I have revealed that the League of American Voters is under attack by liberal groups for our efforts to support Governor Scott Walker.
These attacks continue and are growing.
In fact, our efforts have been so successful, WISN, the major ABC TV station in Wisconsin, reported on our campaign, including our telephone calls to citizens exposing the big public employee unions.
WISN said liberal groups like the League of WOMEN Voters are furious with our campaign and demanding we stop.
Well, we won't stop!
The Left knows that Gov. Scott Walker is on the verge of victory in Wisconsin.
That's why their smear campaign is so intense.
He’s been called a Nazi, a liar, and even labeled the reincarnation of “Adolf Hitler” himself.
The fact we at the League of American Voters are under attack proves we are having a powerful effect with voters.
Incredibly, liberal groups like Women Voters have even sought to close down our free speech rights, demanding we stop calling citizens in Wisconsin.
And our powerful radio ad exposes how the unions pose a serious danger to the state – and will lead the state to bankruptcy if Governor Walker can’t close the $3.6 billion budget gap he faces.
Here's what our radio ad and telephone calls say that have the left so enraged:
Angry rhetoric, ugly threats, intimidation, even violence. That’s not the Wisconsin way.
But it’s what’s happening right now in Madison with the big government unions trying to protect their lavish taxpayer-funded benefits. The most generous benefits in the country. Now they're holding Wisconsin kids hostage saying they would rather wreck Wisconsin schools than compromise because for them it’s not about education. It’s about money and power.
But Governor Scott Walker is taking on the government unions telling them it’s time to share in the economic sacrifice every Wisconsin family is making.
Walker’s responsible, common-sense plan will keep our schools the best in the nation and protect Wisconsin taxpayers from a budget catastrophe.
And these calls and radio ads are also urging citizens to call their legislators, urging them to vote and support Governor Walker.

That's why they are smearing Scott Walker.

We have been credited with stopping Obama's "public option" for healthcare. We led the national effort with Sen. Fred Thompson to renew the Bush Tax cuts. We won that battle too.
Today, we are one of just a few groups in Wisconsin fighting to help Scott Walker.
Frankly, we are being outspent in Wisconsin 10-to-1 by the liberal unions and Obama allies.
