1. Romney's 'Corporations Are People' Called a 'Gaffe' as Nets Disguise Agenda of Leftist Hecklers in Iowa
ABC’s Jake Tapper on Thursday night scolded Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney for a “gaffe” over his assertion that “corporations are people” since “everything corporations earn ultimately goes to the people.” That common sense observation came in reaction to a bunch of hecklers, from a left-wing activist group, who confronted Romney in Iowa, yet neither ABC or CBS acknowledged their agenda. The CBS Evening News, in fact, put “Voter Anger” on screen over one of the screaming leftists as anchor Scott Pelley declared “voters are angry about the economy.” (On FNC’s Special Report, Carl Cameron noted Romney was “badgered, at the state fair, by a Democratic group, Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement...” Even NBC’s Chuck Todd, on the NBC Nightly News, reported Romney was “challenged on taxes by a group of Democratic activists.”)
2. MSNBC Anchor Laments GOP Primary Focus on Religion, Wonders if Rick Perry Is a 'Phony'
MSNBC guest host Veronica De La Cruz on Thursday lamented the supposed emphasis GOP primary voters place on religion, complaining, "...What happened to jobs? What happened to that discussion?" She also suggested that Texas Governor Rick Perry could be a "phony." Talking to contributor Melissa Harris-Perry, De La Cruz wondered, "Why is religion featuring so prominently right now?" Harris-Perry, a liberal writer for the Nation, then attempted to link evangelical support for George W. Bush to anti-Islamic sentiment.
3. Donny Deutsch on NBC's Today: 'Why Can't You Write an Unflattering Biased Article' Against Bachmann?
During a Today show panel discussion about the Michele Bachmann Newsweek cover, left-wing advertising executive Donny Deutsch acknowledged that "It is politically biased," but didn't see any problem with that: "Who says the media's not biased?...Why can't they make a statement? Obviously that was a real picture...It's not a flattering article....why can't you write an unflattering biased article?" While Deutsch freely admitted the liberal magazine's political bias against Bachmann, he denied any sexism was involved: "It has nothing to do with her sexuality, it has to do with her political standing."
4. MSNBC Compares UK's David Cameron to Egyptian Dictator for Trying to Prevent Violent Rioting
Filling in for host Martin Bashir during the 3 p.m. ET hour on MSNBC on Thursday, left-wing Washington Post writer Jonathan Capehart outrageously compared British Prime Minister David Cameron to deposed Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak for asking UK law enforcement to disrupt social media communication among criminals planning violent riots.
