A Shot In The Dark

Facepalm moment and Epic Fail:

Since Obamacare, we have been told that mammograms are not justified because they do not save enough women. We have also been told that prostate tests are not justified for the same reasons (well, for the men).

Just a few days ago, I read this from the CDC:

"Seniors will receive a flu shot that has 4x the amount of dead flu virus to which the body can react. This shot, mfg by FRENCH pharm giant Sanofi Pasteur, has been proved in critical trials to get a stronger immune response."

Now here is the kicker:

"Whether a heightened immune response reduces the # of seniors contracting the flu HAS YET TO BE PROVEN. That clinical trial will not be completed until 2014."

How many millions of dollars will be spent on France's super-shot, a drug that we do not even know it works any better than a regular flu shot! And our Seniors are the guinea pigs! While on the other hand, to cut medical costs, mammograms & prostate tests are downplayed because it doesn't save enough people!
