EBC Missionaries Of The Week: Ben & Jennifer Bogle

The Bogles have just returned from serving three more years in Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.  Ben is a registered nurse and originally planned to train community healthcare evangelists in the villages surrounding Wamena, but was asked by the national church to supervise and train the nursing staff at Klinik Kalvari.  Due to the rising numbers of those exposed to HIV and the lack of a physician, the ministry outreach was changed to specifically focus medical care and evangelism toward those at risk or infected with HIV, tuberculosis, or STDs.  This role pushed Ben to function well beyond his scope of practice.  The ministry was challenging as well as rewarding, involving care, treatment, and spiritual outreach to hurting mothers, unfaithful husbands, teen prostitutes, and those who frequented them.

Ben and Jennifer have been asked to help with mission mobilization here in the northwest while seeking God's direction of their future service in Southeast Asia.
